That's right, the Red Sox bullpen gave up 7 runs and couldn't get ANYONE out, however some of the blame needs to be put on the shoulders of Daisuke Matsuzaka!  If he didn't pitch 103 pitches in 5 innings, the bullpen would NOT have had to go 4 innings!  Yes, Craig Hansen and Manny Delcarmen blew it, but so did Dice-K!

So far he has only pitched 75 innings!  Daisuke Matsuzaka is not a great pitcher folks!  He walks waay too many people and gets his pitch count up waay too early!

75 innings pitched means Daisuke Matsuzaka averages on 5.36 (rounded up) innings per start!

Sure is the truth, I mean Daisuke Matsuzaka was perhaps amazing in Japan, but in America he really isn't that good!  The Red Sox offense and defense has carried him to his 9-1 record

Celticslifer - Great to see ya!  Great post! Daisuke Matsuzaka is not that great of a pitcher he does only average about 5.36 innings a start and that is down right terrible!  I mean the Red Sox are paying him ALL this money for what?  I think this is almost as bad as The Giants paying Barry Zito all of his money!  Heck, Zito probably is even better than Dice-K!

Yes Dice-K deserves some of the blame!

5 inning pitcher.....

The best thing that happened was his stint on the DL...Would have been a shame if this guy approached 20 cheap wins, cause he was on his way!.....

As a matter of fact....

F Him!

First off an honest post from a RSN'er = welcome site to Rocks normal B.S.

Second = No way in hell is Barry Zito to ever be mentioned in conversation with any other starting pitcher in baseball.

Third = Been saying it all year about Dice.  He walks way to many and has been helped greatly by the Sox to have that 9-1 record he sports.

Fourth = I think this is one of the reasons the bullpen has been bad for the Sox lately.  They are exhausted when this guy pitches.

Honest question for Sox fans tho since I don't watch every Sox game.  What is the bullpen order?  Is there a set guy for the 8th inning to get the ball to Paps or does Terry go with whoever he sees fit on that particular day?  Not knocking, just wondering.
