Why dont you goto the Brewers board and see how they feel about Jenkins, i guarantee you..majority would say... "KEEP HIM, WE DONT WANT HIM".  Do you think if a player is offered 5 million, do u think its because he's great.or rubbish?  Like i told you guys before the season started...If a player is that great, you dont need to platoon him.

Blue Jays have a player named Travis Snider, who has been in the top 20 for the last 2 years and who is expected to be called up.  Last time i checked he was injured.  Check his stats while ur at it.  So Alex Rios and Vernon Wells are crappy?  I guarantee your GM will take them over ur outfield.  Yes id take Tatis, Chavez, Pagan and i guy named Fernando Martinez over Jenkins any day.  Besides doesnt Jenkins play RF?  Yes id take Church over him also.  This guy has been a platoon player for awhile now for a reason.

You're right Sheets and Burnett could be had, but not by the Phillies.  UNLESS you offer Howard, otherwise ur have a pipe dream.  Just because the Mets pulled off a deal for Santana, dont go thinking ur team can pull of something similiar.  Only team in NL East that can pull of a deal for a #1  or #2 starter is the Braves, and i dont think they'll do for a 2 month rental.  I see the Phillies throwing talent away for a rental, but not for those players, you just dont have the prospects.  How is it a Mets fan knows more about ur farm system than you do?

Roaddog, ur right i live in Boise, Idaho and peel potatoes all day,lol..im kidding i really live next door.  Is it talking crap, by disagreeing with you and busting ur pipe dreams?  Seriously look at ur prospects, look at the players traded this off-season and the talent exchanged...then look at ur farm system, check the top 100 prospects and then say im just being a hater.  Would u trade Cole Hamels for a Jenkins type player and bunch of prospects who barely scrape the top 100?

moses,

as far as this "KEEP HIM, WE DONT WANT HIM" comment about jenkins w/ the Brewers fans, they gave him a great ovation early this year.  plus if you think 5 million is alot now a days, just look at your own roster (which is the most overpriced besides the cross town team in all of mlb)

your right the phil's wont get sheets or burnett, but has nothing to do with our farm system but b/c their teams are winning.

i forgot that you all the all knowing gm of every team.  you know all about every teams farm system *cough* loser *cough*... wait nevermind your not really that much of a loser b/c you dont and you dont name any players or stats... i'm actually relieved your not that much of a loser.

but im done with you for now b/c im gonna watch the reply of the phil's go back to 10 games over .500

The kid is 20...is stinking up double AA right now...has a year and a half of minor league service under his belt and your saying he is going to get called up? He also can't play the outfield as he committed 16 errors in A ball last year and has been Dh'ing pretty much all of this year.  I will gaurentee when midseason scouting ranks comes out he falls heavily.  He looks like a slightly better Matt Stairs right now...not the guy who tore the cover off the ball in Rookie league and low-A ball.

So Alex Rios and Vernon Wells are crappy?  I guarantee your GM will take them over ur outfield.

No one has said they are...learn how to read numbnuts...if your going to act like the holy grail of baseball knowledge at least read people's posts right.  No one has said wells or rios are bad...they said the guys they are currently starting with wells hurt are bad...Shannon stewart...Kevin Mench...Brad Wilkerson...all were cut by their former teams.

Yes id take Tatis, Chavez, Pagan and i guy named Fernando Martinez over Jenkins any day.  Besides doesnt Jenkins play RF?  Yes id take Church over him also.  This guy has been a platoon player for awhile now for a reason.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH...come on man Fernando Tatis?  you gotta be crapping me right now.  The guy couldn't even crack a major league roster for the past 5 years because of how bad he is and now your saying he is better than Geoff Jenkins...you might be the worst Mets homer i have seen yet...you must be buddies with Sal Pacino...because this is one of the dumbest things i have ever read on these boards.  When you can't even get signed to minor league contracts...and can't crack an awful Orioles lineup on a daily basis you should pry hang up the shoes...luckily the mets outfield is so bad and the backups are even worse he somehow finds himself employed.  Jenkins also has been a career left fielder...he is playing right because burrell is in left.  Speaking of career platoon players...that is all Ryan Church has ever been until this year because the mets outfield is so pitiful they didn't have anyone to platoon with him.  You guys have lucked out so far that he is having a career year...im gonna go out on a limb and say that won't continue.  And please save me Angel Pagan LOL...the Cubs gave him away for a bag of popcorn and they were so starved for an outfielder they just went out and signed the recently released Jim Edmonds

Have fun in 4th and hovering around 500 all year big guy.
