The Border War, oldest rivalry west of the Mississippi. KU Vs. Misery

Worst loss easy, last years Lone loss in a 12-1 season.

Best win was before my time in the early 60's when we were their lone loss and they were ranked #1 in the nation. But really the 3 easy wins as underdogs over the last 5 years have all been pretty sweet. Phuck MU!!!

The most enjoyable win was the 2001 victory over the Sooners.  No one thought Nebraska would win.

The least enjoyable game---every other game this decade with Oklahoma....we ain't won a game since.

Favorite Win: I've got a few, but two really stand out in my mind. Wisconsin vs Ohio State 1999: OSU was favorited by 13-17 points, and were a top 5 team. We were 3-2 and struggling. OSU went up 17-0 at halftime and it seemed over....Until Ron Dayne took over in the 2nd Half rushed for over 200 yards and we won 42-17 in the Shoe. We went on to win the Rose Bowl that year and ended he year ranked 3-2. The next week were we absoloutly destroyed a top 10 MSU team on the road 48-10 is also in my top 5. The last one was 2005 vs Minnesota. The Gophers should have won and they were pretty much winning by 10 the entire game. We trailed by 10 with 2 minutes left, but were able to score twice, one of which was a blocked punt with 30 seconds. Also, adding to it was that it was Barry's last season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfIA7lhsSKs

Worst Loss: 1999 against Cincinnati a team that previous week lost to a D1AA team. We were favorited by 27 on the road. The refs were terrible and they took away two touchdowns on penalties and one of the penalties was about 15-20 seconds after the play ended. We still should've won, but I will forever hate that game 13-9 loss.

i have to agree with the other gators here. my favorite was over FSU, in the rematch, to get that first championship. worse loss for me, was last year vs. georgia. i really thought tebow was going to go off in that game. that one hurt.

Iowa State's star player was running back Dexter Green who my oldest brother played high school football with in Virginia. Iowa's athletic director at the time was my best friend in high school's grandfather. That was also in Virginia which makes for a weird connection. The grandfather retired in 1980 after the Hawkeyes made the final four and my buddy got out of school for a week to attend. Iowa State was the much better program in 77' and I remember SI doing an article on the game. ISU had a real good team in 02' before petering out at the end. Seneca Wallace was higher up the Heisman ladder than Brad Banks at the time.

When Va. Tech left the BIg East for the ACC it kind of ended the rivalry. But Syracuse and Virginia Tech had a nice rivalry with alot of great games in the Late 90's and early 2000's when they were the 2 top teams in the Big East.

Best Win: Toss up       1998 McNabb's Maricle/ 2002 upset in the dome

In 1998 with about a minute to play Donovan McNabb led a furius drive down the field. Down by 4, they needed to get the ball in the end zone. After throwing up he was sac
