I am involved in a 12-man league that allows 1 player per team to be kept.  I am trying to decide on 4 of my players as a potential keeper.

Would you keep:

The scoring is more or less standard with QBs getting 1 pt per 25 yds, 4 pts passing TD, 6 pts rec/rushing TD, -2 int, -2 fumble lost.

RBs are 1 for 10 yds, 6 for any TD, .5 pts per reception.

Am I crazy for wanting to keep Turner and build around him?  I traded Larry Johnson away right before week 8 for Marion Barber & a 5th round pick, so if I keep Romo, I still have a 5th, but if not, then I have 2 5ths.

Thanks all!

Definately don't keep Turner or Barber,  Addai is better than Barber and you give up the same for him.  I would say keep Addai because you get a second tier RB and still get to draft in the first.  My second choice would be Romo, then you land the best QB available (the teams with Brady and Manning will likely keep them) and can then focus on RB and WR in the early stages of the draft.  I mean you know Barber Addai and Turner will be available.

It is a tough call that you have on your hands. I would keep J. Addia because of his receiving skills and with M. Harrison another yr older and still might be not 100% from his injury, Addai will see alot of throws going his way.  I see him almost like a Westbrook this yr.  Another option is to keep Romo (top 5) QB and try and pick up 2 RBs early in the draft.

The problem with keeping Turner is that you really do not know how much the new coach is going to use Jerious Norwood.  If the guy has as much speed as is said you may not keep him out of the lineup.

The other issue is Addai is the man in Indy and like has been mentioned has great hands for RB.  He is a top 5 back IMO behind S.J., L.T., A.P., And Westy.  Picking that kind ofvalue in the second round doesn't happen that often.

I would keep Joseph Addai,

I agree with what you guys are saying and I appreciate the feedback, but I'm thinking of value for now & future.  I'm thinking that Turner in the 11th has much better value than Addai in the 2nd.  I just wonder what the difference in productivity will be between Turner & Addai.  If it's minimal (3 points), it's going to be a a tough choice.

I think that if I leave Romo on the table, I can grab him in the 3rd or 4th.  Tough choices!!!

I would look at it this way.  The only reason Joseph Addai is not an automatic here would seem to be the round differences.  I don't know what pick you will have in the second round but you have to ask yourself if you can do better than Addai in that position?  With each team keeping one player, the pickings for an elite back are going to get slim fast.  Addai is proven and you know what to expect from the Colts offense which gives him a big edge over Turner in my book.

I think you 'build around' known quantities.  Still, if you feel confident that Turner will be a big producer, or that you can get a stud in the first round, it may be worth the gamble.

Good luck !
