You are a fair weather fan, and your ideas are ludacris...

The last couple years the ags have gotten lucky...and UT does lack the star power that they have had the last couple years, but overall comes back with a more well rounded team.  To include incredible recruiting for the defense (namely the secondary) in the offseason.

Or maybe you fair weather fans forget to watch recruiting, and all star games such as the Army bowl.  In which we tied down 5 star recruits in the defensive backfield and linebacker positions alone.  We bring in one of the best (if not the best) defensive coach in the nation to replace Duane Akina (who plays a sissy conservative game w/ one of the fastest defenses in the nation).  Plus we bring in a new coach...that despite all odds has shown Ausinites he knows how to win football games.  God bless the reemergence of Major Applewhite...the only thing that the Texas coaches need to do is get rid of Greg Davis, and his pansy grab ass offense.

Lastly, a history lesson for you and your five or six loss buddies on here...7 of the last 10 seasons have been 10 win seasons.  The other three?  9 wins...most REAL longhorns football fans can't even remember not winning at least nine.  Texas Tech will give us a run for our money...they always do.  Just like every other team in the Big XII or did you forget to watch the OU TT game last year.  The Alamo bowl, and Holiday bowl are not the BCS, but they are not "low teir bowl games" they still rake in millions of dollars of revenue, are not name the "Poinsetta Bowl", and are not played the second week of Dec.

It is time that you do some research to back up your wild thoughts and accusations.  I would love to hear back from anyone that has some intelligent input to college football conversations.

Dpollock tries to compare the WAC to the Big 12. Here is what you need to look at, the BCS has decided the National Champ for the last 10 years. In that time the Big 12 leads all conferences with 5 teams in the 10 National Championship Games, going 2-3.

Never has any team in the WAC played in that game, zero, nada, zilch.

The Big 12 has 5 teams, SEC 4, ACC, BE, and BIG10  three  each, and PAC 10 two with USC going 1-1 ( beating OU but losing to UT ).

No NC game for the WAC, just like the MAC, I dont see much difference between the 2 conferences. I would rather play any WAC team instead of the best MAC team.

I look for HI to return to mediocrity now that June Jones is gone.

gasspasser:

Nobody was comparing the WAC to the BIG12. I was responding to one of your earlier posts about the WAC being inferior to the MAC. I didn't say a thing about the number of NC game appearances so I have no idea what you are talking about. The WAC is a decent conference with 3 good teams at the top. Who in the MAC could beat Fresno, Boise or Hawaii?? You are probably right about Hawaii, but the rest of your post is nonsense.
