Ok with Kirk Hinrich's name coming up in trade talk. AND all the names that got thrown out last year. I think its time to set a boundry. We NEED to develope a core. Idk I may be the only one who feels this way, but I think we need a solid core. This is the core I want to build around.

PG---

SG---Thabo Sefolosha

C -----Joakim Noah

PF----Tyrus Thomas

SF----Andres Nocioni

Please guys DONT put a player on "the core" that is not currently on our roster as of now. That includes draft and free agency predictions.

Not all positions have to be filled. I like Hinrich (He's a fellow Iowan), but IMO he souldnt be starting. I cant wait to get rid of Hughes. I would like to keep Luol Deng. After all the back and forth childrens play with Gordon, idk if i want him back or not. Drew Gooden...The jury is still out. Come on guys hit me with some feed back.

PG - there are no untouchable guys, Gordon can be resigned if he won't demand too much money (I consider him as PG because of his size), Hinrich had a down year, and if Bulls draft Rose, they have to trade him before the draft (preferably in package with Gordon to get better value), Duhon is a valuable sub, and they should keep him with the team

SG - Shelofosha is young prospect, but I would consider him as one of the core guys jet,and they still have to keep Hughes as as insurance if he stumbles down the road.

SF - Deng is definitely one of the core guys, and Nocioni is value sub that can be used at SG, SF and PF positions

PF - there are no core guys there, keep Gooden till his contract expires or use him in a trade for better PF, keep Thomas, but I don't think he'll ever be more then good defensive player and career sub, undersized player

C - Noah is a great defensive player, he brings a lot of energy to the team with his style of play, and is definitely core player, Gray is decent sub, but nothing more

In conclusion, the untouchable guys are C Joakim Noah and SF Luol Deng, valued subs that shouldn't be moved are C Aaron Gray, PF Tyrus Thomas, SF Andres Nocioni, SG Thabo Shelofosha, PG Chris Duhon.

And then there are guys that can be used as a trade bait for a better guys: PG Kirk Hinrich, PG/SG Ben Gordon, SG Larry Hughes, PF Drew Gooden.

And considering the draft scenario, there are two obvious moves that Bulls can make:

1. Draft PG Derrick Rose, and just before the draft trade Hinrich and Gordon for a post scorer, like LaMarcus Aldridge they recklessly traded away in 2006. Draft.

2. Draft PF Michael Besley, keep Hinrich as starting PG, and hope for the best in the next season, only trade I would make in that case would be Gordon and Hughes for a better SG.

Also taking PG/SG Gilbert Arenas via. free agency and dumping Hughes high salary somewhere would be a great idea in both cases.

The core of the Bulls team should include the following players.

Tyrus Thomas- We traded LaMarcus Aldridge to the Blazers for this guy and he has shown flashes of is potential toward the end of the season when given solid PT.

Joakim Noah- Again another guy we recently drafted high and if he continues to prove he can play center that makes him more untouchable.

Loul Deng- He was injured last year if he is healthy he is the best player the Bulls have on there current roster.

Thabo Sefolosha- He is a big guard that can play D on the best of them he is another valuable asset to the team.

Really depending on what they do in the draft Kirk Hinrich if they draft Rose needs to go. Drew Gooden if they get Beasley must go. No matter what Ben Gordon needs to go unless he is willing to realize he does not deserve top dollar. I also feel EVERYONE is on the trading block and everyone with the exception of the #1 pick has a price tag.

Rumor has it that the Heat may be looking to shop their 2nd pick.  Here is a fun scenario to chew on...

Bulls trade 2 players (take your pick, I don't think anyone is untouchable), and next years 1st round pick to the HEAT for their #2 pick this year.  That would alleviate the question of who to pick.  Possible starting lineup...

PG - Rose

SG - Sefalosha, Hughes, or Hinrich

SF - Beasley or Deng

PF - Thomas, Gooden, or Nocioni

C - Noah or Gray

I know that is crazy, but after reading some of the other threads on this Message board, It is not too far fetched...

Sefolosha in my opinion is definetly a core guy. Just not in a way you have thought of.

A number 6 man coming off the bench is vital to the team, and often times that player is better then players in the starting five (ginobli).

Im not comparing Sefolosha to Ginobli, im just saying he looks like he could be an extremley valuble bench player.

With the ability to play both Guards, and also the SF, he is a great utility player. He also plays good D.

He is definetly a core guy.

Why does everybody hate Ben Gordon?

I think he will leave the Bulls this season. If he goes to a good situation where he is number 2 or 3 guy (Jazz just as an example) He will be an all star. He would not have to guard a teams top player, and he would get a lot of open shots.
