Reading some of these posts it dawned on me that most (*most*) are being good sports in the debate.  I know I have learned more on issues I don't particularly pay attention to and even on some that I do.  As I am sure in the time off before football and periodic MLB threads and occasional dodgeball tournaments on ESPN 8 THE OCHO discussed by RiverRock, the politics will continue to be debated I am sure through the end of the year.

Although Chi107 will tell us we shouldn't discuss politics, doesn't it feel good to ignore him?  He is so irritating and you know he is ugly.  With no personality either, I think the Cubs are the only thing he has to live for.

Props to all for not threatening to find IPS addresses and threatenening to murder by torture and remember always........even when I am wrong I am still right and when I want your opinion I will give it to you.

yeah, whatever.

it's still more fun to call people pinko commmies when they say things i disagree with. . .

in light of the sham hearings going on today in which oil executives are being treated with the kind of disdain that is usually reserved for murderers, child abusers and shui, i felt it my duty to share this extremely insightful article regarding gasoline and such.

I thought you liked spankings, too, Chi.  'Cause you may get one this week in fantasy bball.  And if the fantasy baseball gods come to the party that I am throwing and drink my house special, then you surely be spanked.

You didn't invite me to your party??  I am hurt.

I don't like spankings in general. I just like Geze-spankings. It's all about the leather.

Our matchup is very close thus far. I wouldn't count on a victory quite yet.

I am not counting on it - therefore the contingency plan, a.k.a. party.  It is for gods - and about spanking you - so you can't be invited.   And my persuasive powers with gods aren't nearly as good as with mortals - they have hammers and tridents and lightning bolts and such - so I just have to hope they won't suspect that I tempered with the drinks.

At $120 a barrel, the world's oil bill will account for 8% of global economic output, twice what it was in 2006. Yet the market and consumers' habits don't seem to be changing all that much (the spike in Prius sales notwithstanding). Global demand, at 86 million barrels of oil a day, hasn't wavered

Good article Badge.  Did you notice this statement and then read the chart below how we have gone from 600 to 1.7 miles a  trillion miles a year??  Did I miss something about the chart because I am exhausted right now or is this pretty contradicting.

Chip thinks Chip is cool.

And Geze, you shouldn't mess with the Fukudome magic.  I'm not sure if there is a Hungarian spell to counter the jinx you just put on yourself?  I have an idea but it requires 2 green olives, a tricyle, nutmeg, 8 mid-sized beads, grilling tongs and half of an opened cocunut shell.
