Ah Craig, have you listened to Ahmedinejad? Again, do not miss the point. This guy doesn't need his position reinforced with a sit down in the White House with President Guess Who?

There are Iraqis who want democratic rule. Just as there are Iranians who want the same. The human rights violations are ignored by the UN even though they claim supreme with ineffective resolutions. So who runs the will of the people? We all know that dictators are ruthless humans who don't care about the rights of others, whether it be religious freedom or the right to criticize their form of government. This country was founded upon the liberty of mankind. Naturally our enemies do not appreciate freedom and the end result of discussions with Amedinejad directly could be to embolden his strength in a region where he is feared by his own neighbors.

Here's an excerpt from another of those left-wing (scientific, non-faux news) opinion polls:

Obama leads McCain in November match: Reuters poll

By John Whitesides, Political Correspondent Wed May 21, 7:17 AM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama has opened an 8-point national lead on Republican John McCain as the U.S. presidential rivals turn their focus to a general election race, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

Obama, who was tied with McCain in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup last month, moved to a 48 percent to 40 percent lead over the Arizona senator in May as he took command of his grueling Democratic presidential duel with rival Hillary Clinton.

The poll also found Obama expanded his lead over Clinton in the Democratic race to 26 percentage points, doubling his advantage from mid-April as Democrats begin to coalesce around Obama and prepare for the general election battle with McCain.

The results put him within easy range of the 2,026 delegates needed for the nomination. Just three Democratic nominating contests remain before voting concludes on June 3.

The poll found Clinton, who has shrugged off calls to quit the Democratic race, tied at 43 percent with McCain in the national poll. She led McCain by 47 percent to 40 percent on who would be the better manager of the economy.

Ironic how the right is now saying "popular vote counts", when the election in 2000 was "only electorial votes matter".  I guess spin works in AMAZING ways these days!!!The right?? Don't you mean the left? The only ones who care about the popular vote are Hillary supporters. The only interest the right has in popular vote right now is the joy in seeing the democratic party tear itself apart with divisiveness over the issue.

caroline and the rest of the left leaning posters on this thread.  Where do you see the country 2 and 4 years from now?  Take your pick of who pres is, your party will likely have veto proof majorites in the house and senate.  Its going to be fun watching your party actually try to govern, when you have to come up with real ideas and not just sit back and blame, blame, blame.  What will Nancy's excusses be when in 2 years, shes throw out on her dead a&* because nothing meaningfull was done to get the country back on track?

curtisteff,

Fine.  But it's not a popular vote.  You have to go state by state for electoral votes.

Click on my av.  Obama cannot beat McCain unless he turns 7-8 red states to blue.

Not going to happen.

It's a state by state electoral vote.  Sure Obama will win more popular votes maybe a million or two million, sure.  But it wont matter.

Those red states matter, and there are way more red states than blue states.
