Brewers
Cubs
Reds
Astros
Cards
Pirates

Albert should do the surgery now so he can do the long haul for your better days to come. Cards are a great franchise in a down phase, and Rasmus is a STUD!!!.

I won't wish you good luck because I wouldn't mean it.

Detroit fan,

first of all i have to say i totally disagree with u there is no reason albert should have surgery i know its just spring traning but albert tore the cover off the ball all spring so ovesly he cant be in to much pain and i dont get what u mean when u say there a falling franchise when you look at all the young talent that they have rasmus schmaker wainright duncan who has been improving alot in the past few years and ankil isnt that old either. with albert locked up for a long time and a health Chris Carpenter comming back i have to say the Cardinals are a rising franchise!!

I voted for 4th place. the Cubs, Brewers and Astros will finish ahead of them and maybe even the Reds. The reason i say this is that the starting pitching for them is all injured. They are bringing bullpen pitching Adam Wainwright, Brad Thompson and Braden Looper to start. They can't just go from bullpen to starting just like that. i will give you that Adam is a solid starter, but when half of them are on the DL it is going to be hard to win.

Also you guys are putting too much into Troy Glaus. Sure he was decent in Anaheim and Toronto, but is old and is coming off of injuries. He will be decent IF he stays healthy.

Yeah detroit fan, i would wish them luck, but i wouldn't mean it either.

I think the Cardinals will finish in 2nd place this season. The Cubs are annual choke artists, they always slide off towards the end of the year. And plus, Wainwright, Thompson, and Looper all started a couple games last year so they have a little experience starting. I will agree that Glaus is old and will probably end up getting hurt at some point, I dont look for him to produce too much but at least he's solid at third.

My vote is third, behind Milwaukee and Chicago.  Cincinnati should finish close to the Cards, with Houston and Pittsburgh bringing up the rear.

There are just too many issues with regard to the starting rotation for me to predict the good guys any higher.  If we are still within shouting distance at the end of May, however.......our chances would increase.  We've just got to hold the fort until some of these pitching reinforcements return, and then hope that these reinforcements provide the impetus needed to get it done.

Dude, and Detroit was supposed to win the series against the Cards also...

Not gonna happen, this team is better than most people think...  I dare say, aside from a little away pitching we had then, may be as good if not better than the team that won the series...

Youth has a way of pushing people around them to heights they wouldn't achieve on their own... And our young guys are all studs... Ludwick will bust out this year and Rasmus will amaze people when he finally gets the chance...  and Ankiel has something to prove, and he will...

I see a good year ahead for the Cards...  I really do...

the two guys ahead of me are the only ones who know what they're talking about....except the Cubs will finish ahead of the Brewers...by 4+ games.
Cards will be out of realistic playoff contention by Sept 10.

1. Cubs

2. Cards

3. Brewers

4. Reds

5. Astros

6. Pirates

If the Cards can stay healthy on offense to start the season they should be able to mask their pitching woes until the return of Mulder and Carpenter.

If the Cards can hang around and get the vet starters back they will be a very dangerous team.

We will miss Eck, but I'm glad to see Rolen and Edmonds go.  It seems as though we've got a nice mix and I can't help but feel good about the energy the young guys bring.

Tony is a winning manager and he always gets effort from his teams, and the new GM learned from one of the best.  (Jockety's downfall was his loyalty to his guys.  It lost him his job.)

I'm a homer so I picked the Cards to win it, but I think that will reley on the ball bouncing our way a few times (as it has to with any winner)....."Its better to be lucky than good.

i think that the Cardinals will get first place in their division because all of the other teams aren't that good
