Impossible to know without knowing the needs of the teams involved. Could be a good trade for both but do both need the particular needs the trade would fulfill and not lose too much off of their current strengths?

Tough to trade Braun,

Also hard to know how Furcal will bounce back from injury.

I would say it was equal if furcal was healthy.

I like the pitcher end. Wang has stood the test of time enough to place him in the elite pitcher category. Valverde is Houston's closer and they look ready to contend all year for that division. I always felt Jeter's fantasy value is under rated. He is steady but never a huge number guy. If Furcal comes back as expected I have to lean that way.

The trade is pretty fair if both teams are filling needs. Ryan J. Braun is killing the ball lately. Derek Jeter always gives solid numbers and once the Yankees are healthy he will have Alex Rodriguez and Jorge Posada hitting behind him and his numbers should get better. I don't think Rafael Furcal will come back and produce like he was before, he will outproduce Jeter but I don't think it will be too much of a difference between the two. Jose Valverde can be shakey but does still get saves. Chien-Ming Wang is a stud. Enough said.

Overall I think it was an even trade.

I went with Option B. Derek Jeter and Ryan Braun will COMBINE for a .320 avg, 350 hits, 40 SB, and 50 HR. I always go for the hitter combo if possible, as it is really hard to make up .AVG not to mention the other production mentioned. The Yankees SS and Brewers LF will give you great stats all year long (and in the future).

I know in my H2H league pitching is King, but are point system is a lil adjusted. If Furcal can play close to the level he was playing at before he got hurt I think A wins the trade. If he goes back to just being an average SS, B wins. I would also hope the team that traded Braun away has a better backup then say a Edwin Encarnacion.

In H2H pitching is slightly more valuable, and the more you have the better off you are. For this reason, I would say that A got a better deal. However, If B was stacked in pitching and needed to fill a couple of glaring holes in the batting lineup, then they might have benefitted more than A.

I think team B got the better end of the deal all around. They were able to trade high at the right time with Furcal. We all saw what he did last year after that injury in preseason. I don't think he gets back to anywhere near where he was before he went on the DL.

Braun is a beast and it looks like he is just begining to heat up and Jeter will always hit for .300+ and score a ton of runs. I think the only player team B is losing with a lot of value is Valverde. I bet there are some better FA available over Wang, I'm not a big fan of low k sinker baller like Wang. He is basically the equivilant of Derek Lowe on a better team.
