A little early for this, I think, but, it is something to talk about....We don't know who will be starting on our front Oline, or Dline. We don't know who will be our WRs either. Deon, is out for the season as far as I am concerned, as I have heard (read) that he will be out for the 1st quarter and/or until Janurary.  Which one is correct? I have no idea, but, I count him as a non-entity.   You fellas forget that Tapp is on our team and will be starting (most likely) over Jackson?  Or that Red Bryant is in the mix along with Larry Tripplett at DT?  YOU don't mention the depth at any position, except our WRs which you term as a mediocre bunch of young players that you have no faith in.  What a waste of time, trying to judge the teams in a division if you don't judge the depth also.  The Seahawks have the depth at almost every position...I put them at a 11-5 and the Cards beneath them...with the Rams last.  The reason we picked up Jackson is to rotate him with both Tapp and Kearney, just like the reason we have at least 5 DTs...same reason, we go to training camp and weed out the players that are not ready to start or we don't see the upside of any of the ones we cut.   Lets have this conversation again when we know who is actually playing? Starting and the rest of the factors.  If you don't have an effective Oline, then our running game will not be par and neither will our passing game unless our young WRs come thru.(and TE).  ALL of these things will factor into the winning of games and it is still to early to tell who will be injured come the start of the season. It WILL make a difference.  Look at the bright side...training camp starts soon for a couple of 3 day weeks. Our rosters will change then again.

Like your list, except I'm confused on two spots.  Are you saying that Gore is better than Steven Jackson, and that Vernon Davis is the best TE in the West?  Just curious.

If you are reffering to my post, I rated Jackson #1

Personally I think much like Hass he is one of the best and most overlooked players at his position.

And I picked Davis as the best TE by default. It isn't like we have and Antonio Gatest, or Tony Gonzalez in our league. Past that it becomes a blocking position and part of the OL. Then I really don't know who should be rated as the best

Your right on target, these guys must of forgot Adrian Wilson and Darnell Dockett. I mean there the cornerstone of our defense, so they must be pretty good.

Jedi has a good subject here, I just think it is to early to judge without all of the facts and players being known.  We have forgotten a lot of players on all the teams and who will actually get the playing time at a lot of positions?  We just don't know, except for a few...I have to say, AZ that I am more concerned about the Cards, than I am about most other teams in the NFL.  But, do they have an offensive line that will stop our defense? Or a defense that will stop our offense...two players do not make it. We have depth at almost every position and shouldn't have to worry if Tubbs or Deon are ready to play at ANY time during the season.

Where's the love for my Cardinals' D???  Dockett, Berry, Okeafor, Hayes, Danby, Wilson, Roller, etc.  They HAVE some excellent players.  Man-for-man, they are as good as ANYBODY in the NFC West.  Placing the Cardinals FOURTH in your ratings at safety is ridiculous when they have Pro Bowler Adrian Wilson.  And don't forget that even with two starters out before the seaon even started; Bertrand Berry and Chike Okeafor, they still were one of the better defenses in the league.

I'm sure that you'll be saying, "Oh yeah...I forgot about those guys."

Look at the Cardinals' depth chart.  They're a pretty good team.  Actually, all four teams in the NFC West, when healthy, are pretty good teams.

Berry is injured all of the time and is on the wrong side of 30, and Adrian Wilson is coming off of a huge injury, Chike Okeafor isn't anything special(and is also coming off of season ending surgery), and we don't know how well Rolle will adapt to safety.

no homerun hitter? how about Hasselback, i think he scares the entire NFC west being the only proven QB (Curt Warner excluded because there going with Lienart) in the division. i think he hit alot of homeruns last season without a running game. so lets see the logic here, with the Rams Jackson they still couldn't beat us, and the 9ers with Gore who i still think is a chump (because to be an elite runner you have to run for at least 1500 every season like Alexander did until the 2006 season) and he only did it once. they definatly couldn't get it done. and with all that talent on the Cardinals (and i do think you are the second best team in the West) they could only do it once.

we are not the team we were in 2005, i think we are better now, and with all the depth at the DE, DT, CB, RB, WR spots , we can run with anyone, and we will. were gonna get our 5th NFC west title in a row this year.

I still see Jones as a waste of time. The guy avg 3.6 yards per carry last season. Alexander averaged 3.5 and we ran him out of town on a rail.
