ok ok its pretty obvious im a Rays fan....but this is wierding me out a bit.....its the middle of may...usually about now me and the boys are talking about the young kids in the minors and how good were going to be when they get here......thing is they all arent here yet and here we are 1 1/2 game up on may 16........this team has grown up quite a bit in this short season.......and im starting to think this may not end any time soon......im not saying were going to the division....but im seriously starting to beleive they can challange for a wild card......at any rate the rays have never been relevant this late in the season before......and the bats arent exactly red hot right now....imagine if they get going......

You Rays fans may not be talking about next year, but us Reds fans are . Well, some of us are anyway. We've actually played better as of late, so there's still a little hope left. Plus we have Jay Bruce waiting in the minors who's just embarrassing minor league pitching.

Jay Bruce is an animal...im in a 12 team keeper league....(2 keepers a year)....and i took him in the 20th round to a chorus of foul language......im pretty much stoked about what he has done in aaa ball.....the guy pretty much kills everything he sees....and i cant wait till junior griffey hits 600....because after that its jay bruce time......

That's what most of us Reds fans are waiting for. But you have to turn back the Calender to sometime in April to see Jr's last HR. I would be content seeing him go to the Mariners or whoever as soon as he does hit #600. After that, Jay Bruce mania baby! By they way, he went 2-3 today with another HR and a single, and on the season he's hitting .365...absolutely ridiculous...

bottom line is he isnt going anyhere until he hits 600.....thats a gate draw and the Reds want it....but Jay Bruce is murdedring minor league pitching hes hitting like .611 with 3 bombs 12 rbi's and 11 runs in his last 10 games.......sick......

I know...I'm tempted to buy a 1 month subscription of MiLB.tv just so I can watch him on this tear . Plus, it's pretty sad, but the Louisville Bats drew more people in for a game than the Cincinnati Reds did on the same day. That is sad. I honestly think Bruce would bring in more people than Griffey does right now. As soon as he gets #599 the stands will probably start filling up, but not until then.

So exciting buccs, im thrilled to be a Rays fan, did not think I would be saying that, but everything has come together

And Bruce seems like he will be a future star but just remember, he's hitting mainly fastballs with the occasional average curve ball in AAA, you do not know how he will react to big league pitching right away, so until you see a great young player hit a good curveball, you shouldn't get too excited about anyone, but this guy has put up some ridiculous numbers
