And by the way, the new girfriend is 19. NINETEEN. Okay, she looks 15, but I checked her Driver's License 5 or 6 times.
I didn't know what to do on our first date, so we watched Spongebob and I took her to
Chuckee Cheese.
And I am only 45...

If people CHOOSE to be gay, so be it. Don't make my kids have to learn about it in school, and don't make me have to pay for
How do you know gay people chose to be gay did you choose it? Do psuedohermaphrodites choose to have both male and female sexual organs or did god make them that way?
And He will, but by that time it will be too late for repentence
You religious people with all your hate just make me laugh at your hypocricy!

Glutony is one of the 7 deadly sins...so i think fat people should not be allowed to marry. They choose to be fat, therefore they are sinners and going to hell.....unless....they repent and lose some weight. Oh yeah and the sinners who had premarital sex...youre GOIN straight to hell.
Fat people repulse me and the thought of 2 fat people having sex makes me want to puke. And the bible says being fat is a sin so im right. We should pass legislation now so these disgusting sinners cant get married! Who's with me? I dont want my kids learning about them in school either. Lets banish them. Plus they are unhealty, they eat up all the food(they are driving up the price)...and they are using up extra gas...they are directly responsible for the gas crisis!

Lions - you're fashioning all your questions with predetermined answers in mind. You suggest "being gay" isn't a choice, and I have no reason to agree or disagree with that - I have no clue what the real answer is. But I think you're missing the more interesting/meaningful point. That is, acting on homesexual impulse/desire is definitely a choice.
Do you think anyone wakes up one day and says to himself, "you know what? I don't have anything to do today, I think I'll develop an urge to 'like' little boys"? I rather doubt that. I'm thinking pedophiles don't choose their perversion/urges - but it is a choice whether or not they act on them.
I'm not comparing pedophilia with homosexuality - don't misunderstand me. I'm simply putting the argument, "I didn't choose to have these feelings/urges" into proper perspective. "Live and let live" really doesn't work - everybody (well, every sane person) wants certain lines drawn. So some in this thread disagree with you about where that line is drawn on the gay marriage issue - that doesn't make them any more hateful or closed-minded than you.

Just another example of the moral decay this country is heading towards. As a Christian I am commanded to walk in love towards my fellow man and pray for them. So, I am not to judge, but to love.
That being said, the Bible is, and has been, the moral compass for this country from it's birth. Without moral standards a people left to their own volitions soon fall into utter chaos and lawlessness. This is what is slowly happening to our great country unless those who profess faith in God, begin to rise up and let our voices be heard in elections, not only national elections, but local as well. So, no, I do not believe homosexual marriages should be declared legal.
We've allowed a very small minority to pass laws banning the Bible and prayer from our schools and government, then wonder why we see such chaos, hatred, and sin in our schools and political leaders. Today, if you say something derogatory against God or Christians it's no big deal, but let someone say something derogatory about a Muslim or gay person and all Hell breaks loose.
The Bible calls homosexuality a sin. Those who practice homosexuality, therefore, are outside the Covenant of God and as such are headed towards a terrible eternal fate unless they repent and ask for forgiveness. That's what is so awesome about our God! His love is so great that whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved. However, He has given each of us a free will and He will not force anyone to accept Him.
I pray for all those who do not know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

I strive not to be ignorant or intolerant.
I try not to be prejudiced.
But I always try to be honest.
So, I am sorry, but I must admit and confess, that I far prefer Lesbian marriage to gay marriage.
I cannot help it.
Someitmes I am weak.

I am steadfastly opposed to homosexuality. I believe it to be a sin.
That being said, I am steadfastly in approval of free will as God given and in the laws of this country. I would defend anyone's right to be in a homosexual relationship and live without being subject to discrimination.
That being said, I believe marriage to be between one man and one woman as defined by the law and by God. Activist judges are trying to rewrite the law with marriage as a right, but it is not a right. it is not in the bill of rights. And no, I don't believe limiting marriage to be discriminatory to gay persons.
FWIW, that is MHO.
