The skins decided to let Jerome Mathis go now that we're stacked at wr.  We already have good returners now, and this guy was way to injury prone to take up a roster spot.

Good call.

all he was and would be was dead weight. we have tons of capable returners and his value at WR is just zero, less than Llyod was.

Fun llyod fact: he got paid about $440,000 a catch he made with the skins

I like the move Mapu is a good pickup i watched  him play in the SEC and the kid has non-stop motor and is a great run stopper

Mapu plays with heart.  Will be great on special teams!  I also watched him at UT

Go Skins!

Here is a little info on Mapu.

Mapu, 6-4 and 290 pounds, played four seasons at the University of Tennessee and totaled 65 tackles (32 solo), three sacks, 6.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Mapu, 24, missed the 2004-05 seasons at Tennessee so that he could participate in a two-year church mission.

He plays DT. Looks like he needs to put on another 15-20 pounds. I hope they take a good look at him and see how he performs in preseason. We sure could use some young blood on our DL.

Good bye to Mathis and good riddance.  Only problem is for Petersburg Va. when he gets home.  Need to give a thug alert to the local cops,.  This guy is injury prone and has done nothing of consequence since 05. Light weight with nothing to offer the Skins in that they now have plenty of return men to choose from.  Funny thing that the Skins only off season move prior to the draft is already heading out of town.

Jerome Mathis allegedly beat up his pregnant girlfriend earlier this year. The charges were dropped, but we need to keep thugs like this out of our roster. I agree. Good call releasing this dude.

Stacked at WR ROFLMFAO, you have one of the worst wr core in the league. Santana Moss your best wr has over 1000 yds receiving 2 times in his career. Would be a 2-3 on any other team. Your #2 wr has a career high of 728 yds receiving and 3 td in one season. Theres another stud. Hes riding the bench any where else. You guys got 2 2nd round pick wr, which were obviously not talented enough to go Round 1. YOu cant really count on them. And your TE Chris BOOOOOOOOOLEY is an average player at best.
