These numbers are as of this original post time.
For MLB games today, I cam across something on this board that made me laugh, and made me sad, all at the same time.
For todays Yankee/Mets game, we have 2 game threads. One for the game, which has 11 posts. There is also one announcing the rainout, and that has 10 posts.
So, we have 21 posts concerning a game that will not be played.
For the Red Sox / Brewers game, we have one thread, and that thread has 37 posts. All of this for a game in rain delay, i.e, no game being played.
All of that said, we do have 3 games ongoing as of right now ( Toronto/Phily, KC/FLA, & Cleveland/Cin )
Total game threads about these games. Again, these games are going on right now.
You guessed it. Zero.
Sad.

When I make a Tribe game thread There are usually only 2-3 posters that jump in it.
I didn't make one because The Cavs/Celtics game tonight.
All the Yankkes/Red Sox talk here get's old.

Try and hope as I might, I just can't seem to get people to be fans of the MLB as a whole. That, and the fans of the "other 28 teams" as I call them, they tend to stay on their team specific board, for fear of being over-run by Yankee and Red Sox fans.
Again,
sad.

I did leave them out, but with reason. There IS a thread for that game. Check it out, if you haven't already.

Dodgers win tonight. Angels win tomorrow. Dodgers win Sunday.
I like the Angels pitching better that the Dodgers on whole, but I give L.A the edge for getting the extra hitter in the lineup due to A.L rules for D.H, and as The Big A is a better hitters yard than Chavez.

BigD,I don't think it's sad on the Yankees/Sox fans part, it should be that way for all fans. Unfortunately that's not the case.
About being runover by Yankees and Sox fans, I disagree. From what I've seen so far, other than a few on each side, most act decently to other teams fans. It's the misconception of us Yanks/Sox fans that causes what little bad blood there is.

I would say Angels take 2 of 3. Should be a great series though. Best of luck to the Dodgers.

l.o.l.
I really do think that those "other fans" do get scared off by too many and too abrasive Yanks and Sox fans.
Either that, or they like the N.B.A, or they spend too much time on My Space.

I Agree. Again, to me, all it takes is to be a fan of the whole game first, and being a fan of a specific team 2nd.
If I can do it, and i'm nothing special, everyone can.
Gotta scoot, work day is over.

It's sheer numbers.
New York is the most populas City in America.
Boston also. There are 26,000 registered fans here from those two teams.
Next up is the Cubs with 9,000.
Indians have about 4,300.
THATS THE REASON we are flooded.
