Gagne did pick up a save the last time he pitched.
I think they took him out, then remembered they were paying him $10m, so they decided to put him back in again. Stories are floating around that he is tipping his pitches, which would explain a lot, but this is probably wishful thinking.
At the moment we have 3 players who can hit (and one of those is Ben Sheets), a shaky rotation, and an injury-hit and inconsistent bullpen. Our defense is iffy, and we run the bases in a way which would shame a little-league team. Apart from that we're in pretty good shape.
If it rains for 3 days, can we just call it a split series?

you might not want that rain ubbrewer, like I was saying the Red Sox have found ways to lose games lately.. take leads and then the pitching has let us up... pen' is shaky right now, but we are just about tops in home field record

No offense, but how does he start ahead of Alex Cora, who I've always considered to be a pretty good ball player?
Cora is a good backup. When he plays everyday, it starts to show. He always has a really big april and may, but thats really about it. We had this conversation with many people last year too. He's just not an everyday guy, Lugo is just a better hitter.
