Not sure I understand this one, but it just wouldn't be a Ned Yost managed team if it made any sense.  Here's the lineup.

2B Rickie Weeks
CF Mike Cameron
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
RF Corey Hart
SS J.J. Hardy
DH Joe Dillon
3B Bill Hall
C Jason Kendall

Weeks and Cameron at the top of the order should continue to gaurantee that nobody is on base when Braun and Fielder step to the plate.

At least hall gets moved down and Hardy gets to hit in front of something other than a pitcher.  I know I'm digging, but there has to be something good at this point.

It figures that Yost would do something stupid like this. He has a chance to get another left handed bat in the lineup as DH like a Counsell who is a vet or Gwynn aginst a the righty Matzuska it makes no sense. I also completley agree that with weeks & Cam leading off there will be no one on the bases for Braun & Fielder & it is a lot easier to pitch agressivly to Braun & Fielder when you don't have to worry about base runners. Here's to the Crew pulling out a miracle win tonight.

Any offense which includes Rickie Weeks, Mike Cameron OR Bill Hall, let alone all 3, is doomed to struggle at the moment.

Where's Gabe Kapler? I would have thought that putting in a guy with experience of hitting at Fenway would be a smart move.

What's the over/under on how many outside pitches Brewers hitters try to pull towards the Green Monster ? I've got 250.

No offense

My guess would be at least 250 from those 3 & another 150 or so from the rest of the team. It looks like Bill Hall is golfing half the time the when he swings at the slider going away. I have said this before Hall reminds me of Soriano from the movie major league if it's a fastball he can hit it, but anything else & the bats are afraid.

I think that's Cerrano.

Grr@Yost

In DHing there's a 45 minute or so in between your ABs, a time period in which many periods aren't doing anything remotely athletic. During those 45 minutes, players may get cold and lock up - similar to when used in the pinch hitting role. Dillon has been pretty abysmal in the pinch-hitting role this season (he's been doing much better when he's been playing in the game itself), and so I think he'll do poorly in the DH role as well. I think Tony Gywnn Jr. is more likely to be better in the DH role. And he'd probably stretch and warm up at least 10 minutes before each AB too, because that kid wants it more. Counsell has been struggling with PHing, so I'd almost favor Kapler over him, despite handedness and the fact that Kapler can't hit out of a wet paper bag since he "recovered" from his shoulder injury.

but lol@hall batting in the pitcher's slot:P he actually makes an appropriate 8-hole player - just as likely to get a hit as a pitcher. Hopefully he knows how to bunt like they teach the pitchers.

I'd say DH Braun and platoon kapler and TGJ in left for this series.

I don't get why they wouldn't try LaPorta or Gamel instead of an automatic out. Maybe they will just call up four more pitchers, send everyone on the bench down(no double switches in the AL), and Suppan could DH and bunt everytime he was up.j/k.....I don't want them to read this, that just might give them an idea.

I am not sure i understand this line-up either.  As somebody else mentioned earlier this week, why not bat Braun at DH and let either Kapler or Gwynn play left field.  I would rather have an outfielder with a little more experience playing the green monster than Braun....
