What, your prospects have never had bad games?
...................
Not for nothing, but it was Masterson's 3rd bad outing in 4 starts since being sent back down.
Whatever magic he had, he appears to have left it in Fenway.
Thunder own him. Horne beat him twice last year-once in the regular season, once in the playoffs, then they crushed him last night.

Igawa was 3-3 with a 3.86 ERA. Thats not good for a guys that is supposed to be MLB level in the AAA level. That translates to about what he gives you in the majors.
Kennedy may just not be ready for the majors. He's got the stuff, he just doesn't have the confidence.
Colon has been there before, and pitched on the highest level, so confidence is not a worry on his part. Plus, he's got the stuff too.

Cy Young in 2005. That wasn't that long ago guys.
ummmm....didnt he have shoulder and knee surgeries since then? not to mention the Yankees lit his boobies up like an xmas tree even when he was "good".

I'd be tempted to pay the Red Sox to put Colon in their starting rotation when they come to Anaheim to play the Angels.

We've seen stuff like this before.
A guy is pitching awesome in the minors, gets called up to the majors for a spot start and pitches very well, goes back to the minors, and stinks it up for a little while. There have been several cases over the years.
Masterson is a top prospect, and has great groundball stuff, I'm not worried about him.

Yeah, he did. And now he's back throwing 95-97 mph. Seems like he might be alright. He's always struggled against the Yankees, which I referenced in a post earlier. And whats with good being in quotes? Your saying he wasn't really good at one point?
P.S. Stop using this font because I can't quote you without using it too. And I don't want to use it.

I love my pic by the way. She is so hot.
Now Igawa started off AAA with good numbers with Rasner. Igwaw numbers went up slowly over time. Kennedy's numbers in the minor league are pretty good. Not Rasner good but good enough. I think he was rushed last year for no reason with Hughes and i hope they stay down there for the year and they try some other guys.

Worried or not, a lot of Sox fans were saying that he can fill in easily for 1 of the starters. Now that Bucholz has weird fingernail syndrome, everyone said they can just plug in Masterson. It's obvious that's not the case now. He may be a top prospect and may have a bright future, but he's not coming up any time soon after getting bombed a bunch of times in AA.

Correction. He had the stuff. If this guy comes up throwing a fastball in the mid to high 90's like he did back in his day, ill believe he's back. All reports Ive read is that he is no where near that but i havent read anything in a while. And his fastball always has been flat.

Any Sox fan that knows what they are talking about, would know that Masterson isn't the answer right now. He's ok for a spot starter, but we can't expect him to fill in on a full time basis just yet. David Pauley looks to make Buchholz' next scheduled start.

It was reported that he's been regularly pitching at 95 mph, and at points the fastball got up to 97.
