Write good posts for months & may get 5 and added

Why is the CBS reputation much more important to some posters than actual discussion about NBA [or other sports], the sole reason these boards exist? I don't get it. What's the purpose in boosting your reputation score in artificial way if noone reads your opinions on any subjects? I see those threads never die and if they do, a new one pops up.

If you care about feeding your ego [and it is the good thing] - try typing quality posts and earning the points, but also the respect from other posters. This way your reputation will be doubled and real. Your opinion will be heard. It doesn't matter if you start doing it as a rook or a SS100. Couple of months of activity and objective posting will get you much more than thousands of lame threads made only for boosting the number.

I stopped caring about the reputation score/points or whatever after i got enough to create a thread...

I'm pretty sure that i probably have the fewest "favorites" for some one with a 97 or whatever i have.

and if i feel disrepected  i will start name calling... CUZ I DONT GIVA FUUUHHHHGGGG

I think for some people the board is like world of warcraft or any other RPG game. They just want to be the highest level for what ever reason. Ego? Most likely. I bet these people are members of every Board out there. They never talk sports.

They are all most likely members of Gardening Boards, Book Talk Boards, and any other boards that have ranking systems. I wish they would really stop clogging up the boards with their silly threads.
