Only possible trip up in the season that i can see is going to be either Texas or Kansas. Granted Kansas lost a few guys, but they still have thier core. Anyway, Mizzou will be liget this year. I could see them winning the North.
If they can continue their success, then I would not be suprised if they only lost one game this year. Chase Daniel is going to win the Heisman. We also are going to beat fatty Mangino bad.
Honestly, I think the toughest game will be Illinois. The trip to Texas just doesn't scare me as much as it probably should. When we went four years ago (the year before they won the national championship), we only lost by 7. We're better now, and I don't think they are as good now as they were then. kansas doesn't scare me at all; especially since it's at Arrowhead again and not in Lawrence.
I think if we get past Illinois in the opener, I think we can go 12-0. I'm not sure what Illinois has left, but Zook can definitely recruit so you know they at the very least will have solid athletes on the field.
You guys are crazy. Mizzou will be very good, but to say that the only possible slip will be Texas or Kansas is insane. Do you think the other teams are going to lay down? No way. Mizzou is going to have to be on their A game every single time they step on the field. I mean do you really think going to Nebraska is going to be easy? Not a chance. They will be ready for the Tigers. They will not want to lose at home to Missouri. I just hope that last year's success is not on the minds of the Tigers when they take the field in 2008. It'll be a whole new ballgame and they will need to be focused. I mean when does Mizzou ever enter a season as a National Championship contender. Never. This is new territory. They will be targeted and will need to be at their best at all times or they could lose a game to someone you wouldn't even expect. I hope they go 12-0 and they can, but it will be far from easy.
Mizzou should have another solid season. There are several challenging games but the Illinois games should set the tone. I went with 10-3 loosing in the Big 12 championship game.
First off i love MIZZOU and want nothing more than for them to win the big 12 and a national championship, but there is a good chance of the tigers dropping as many as 3 games. We are the new Nebraska, EVERYONE in the big 12 north hates us. and now were going to start the season ranked in the top 10. We will have a HUGE target on our chests and i pray we can step up. Realistically i think the tigers will be 10-2 and win the big 12 North. I think our losses will come from Illinois and from Texas, with a possible loss in Lincoln.

Look, I can definately say there is a very good chance we lose in texas, I give us a 1 in 3 chance, especially because it is in texas, but I dont see why people think we will lose to illinois. We beat them last year, and they lose their two best playmakers on both sides of the ball in mendehall an leman. Our defense should be much better next year ad our offense shouldnt miss a step.
I am wishing missouri all the luck in the world nd hope you take the big12 north. chase should be great this season and so should missouri. kansas will be 2nd in the north then nebraska. thats my thought on it.
missouri vs illinois could honestly go either way... missouri will most likely be 7pt favorites going into the game and rightfully so. As an illinois fan i have no idea what to expect from our team.
one other prediction: Ku will be 8-4 . because this year they actually play some division 1 football teams.
