Pirat.

I have nothing against the Steelers and I respect and like how they play the game. Most Pats fans will say the same thing but for some reason on almost every post that has to deal with the Pats their is some Steeler fan bashing the Pats and its fans. I just do not get it. If you do not like the Patriots that is fine, they are not your team, but bashing a teams fans because of something some bandwagon idiot has written is a joke.
Yes the media (ESPN) did over hype the Pats, but what do you expect when a team is undefeated during the regular season. The Pats were the story this last year and if it was your team they would be getting most of the coverage.
Yes we are embarrassed by this whole spygate shit but we also know that other teams do the same exact thing. Other fans think that taping of other teams do not go on. I hate to break this to you but it does and it is not against the rules. Where the Pats got in trouble was from having taped on the sidelines which is against the rules. Hell I would have had the NFL suspend B.B. then lose a first round pick, and to say that he should be baned from football for life shows that you have limited knowledge of what really goes on and how little effect that this had on the game.

It's because they cry win lose or draw.

That and that ugly oriental chick on youtube that thinks she can rap.

If I lived in Boston, and would beg her to shut up. When no one thought possible, it actually makes you look more idiotic to have her speak for you.

And what the heck does fakkin' mean?

And why do they drink sissy beer?

Why is Samuel Adams wearing a womans peasant blouse?

Why do half the men in Boston wear womens peasant blouses? It's like a pirate convention.

And what is with the paperboy hats?

And what's up with this love of government cheese?

And what's up with the high mullet rate?

And why are the women so fat?

Why does the whole city smell like you are standing on a turd, big cities are supposed to smell like sweat and stale urine, they can't even get that right.

And if you will profess to be an expert because you root for the Patriots, spell that game missing because of a headache sissy Tedy Bruschi's name right for the love of baked beans.

And why just because coked up comedians from New York had a good run in Boston during the 80's do you think that you are funny?

How come no talented player ever come from Massoftwochits?

And how come they all disappeared from the sports bars? The jerseys I mean, the guys that used to wear them are there, but strangely quiet and watching W.S.O.P.

Why do they start threads to provoke a response and then cry about the responses they get?

Why are all the students at institutes of higher learning from out of state? Don't you guys get a deal there too?

And Goodwill Hunting is not a true story look at standard highschool scores from Boston, nothing to be proud of, especially South Boston where the literacy rate hovers near 28%.

Your other hero Matt Damon wrote Gerry, seriously he wrote that, and wanted people to see it! Could any character more accurately portray a Bostonian than 2 guys so stupid as to get lost 300 yards from a major highway in a flat and open desert? And one kill the other within 50 yards of said highway? Where he stands and see the passing cars? After killing his friend?

Why do you guys have so many Star Trek conventions? When you go to them, why is some fat chick always dressed like Zena?

Why won't you guys just admit your issues and wear depends? I meaning drinking until your are in a stuper is fine I guess, but when you pass out on the street, where tourists walk, at least get up and stumble to the alley to handle your business.

And wash your pants after twice wearing them, and never back toward people, there is soap in the store, I saw it with my own eyes and discount brands are quite affordable.

And to close, stop posting fake definitions of "cheat" nobody is buying it any more than "I misinterpreted the rule, and we never used the information in the same game."

rls7790,

From what I can see it isn't Patriots fans that are the problem, it's the people who dislike their winning ways and looking for any reason to discredit them...and now that you have one...non fan's do nothing but incense and just FLAT OUT piss off Patriot fans each and every chance you get.

Of course Patriots fans defending their *cough* winning ways since *cough* Bill Belichick brought his *cough* genuis and revolutionary style of *cough* coaching to town can not possibly be the problem.

Is it really winning when you were caught cheating? I have never heard anyone contend that before.

Oh, I am not one of those that get's pissed off...because quite frankly i have better things to do with my time than get into a war of words with a keyboard and computer screen (unless of course its an argument based on actual KNOWLEDGE of not only the Patriots but the NFL in general)

Actual knowledge is that the Patriot absolutely cheated by the very definition of the word cheat.  So again, winning ways?

so i am going to part with some words of wisdom from my years of experience...try getting into a knowledge based, with opinion mixed in argument with a TRUE patriots fan...and I can't explain how you are going to know who they are...you just will when you talk with one...and see how that goes. We are not ALL arrogant up here

But again Patriot fans that refuse to own up to the truth, even after concrete proof ARE NOT the problem people, it's the one that don't think it's okay for the patriots, and Patriots only to cheat, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

We are not ALL arrogant up here...and some of us are extremely embarrassed over what has transpired and question in our own minds...did we really win or were we helped so much that it was inevitable. I would like to think that the tapes...while they probably helped...were minimal because by all accounts...coaches change up signals half to half....didn't really have MUCH of a bearing on winning/losing. But I'll never know that, so all I CAN hope is that they win another one going forward so that in my mind...some of the doubt i have will be removed. But make no mistake...this IS MY TEAM..has been for over 30 years and will be until i am pushing up daisies...and i will defend them as would any other fan.

Translation from Patriot fan to plain english:

Like me even though I am still in denial, I will reference a fictional patriot fan, but understand this is not me, I fully condone cheating, and seek to raise my children to do the same. I will cling to lame excuses that it couldn't possibly have helped, but share that even if it took them to 4 Superbowls and 3 *cough* championships in large part because of the cheating, I still luv'em, cheatings cool, getting caught.......

Not so pleasant.

You don't know what a Patriot is obviously, being born in boston does not automatically make you a Patriot. That's more childishness, and none that post here would qualify, especially you with all the lies and excuses.

Patriots rose up against injustice and deception.....unfair practices.

If you were a Patriot, you would be calling for Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick to give you as a fan your team back.

You are no Patriot, and if any ancestor of yours was a Patriot, they would tell you the same.

But you do strongly resemble another historical figure that came from the New England region, and in droves.

Traitor.

We don't really hate you, and that isn't really arrogance.

Arrogance:

offensive display of superiority or self-importance; overbearing pride.

The act or habit of arrogating, or making undue claims in an overbearing manner; that species of pride which consists in exorbitant claims of rank, dignity, estimation, or power, or which exalts the worth or importance of the person to an undue degree; proud contempt of others; lordliness; haughtiness; self-assumption; presumption.

See?

So you support cheating? That is, because violation of rules is by definition cheating.

So you support cheaters and the act of cheating, and do not yet have a firm grasp on your vatuve tough, but talk like the end all, beat all authority.

Nah....you aren't arrogant based solely on a team that wouldn't care if you live or die, and shamed your community in the face of the world.

But when speaking about them, you probably say "we" don't you.

Kids.

This is one of the funniest posts I have ever read, I had to share this:

Bermy,

It's not a high horse, it's called age and wisdom, something your generation forgot about. I listen to my mom and her friends, they are in their 70's, they have know more than me and have seen more than me, that is the point. We went out in the lot and played football after high school, Fantasy Football is exactly as stated. Sorry but I see more of that activity than people going outdoors and actually playing the game itself.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when you have only seen half as much as someone twice your age, your opinion is based on half the picture. Not all younger fans are like you, be happy you are historically informed. I never comment on George Halas because he was before my time. When someone says Bellichick is the best ever, and never saw the Packers of the 60's dominate, then their opinion just does not hold water for me. But when someone mentions seeing Chuck Bednarik play, I listen.

No Malice towards you my friend. Your opinions are welcome, disagreeing is part of life. Let me ask you this though, when you need real advice, don't you go to your dad and not your friends, just a thought.

nybites

The poster assumes that when they see or experience something, that they do so correctly and better than others around them. They further compound this belief by introducing others of a more lofty perch, and contending that they know more than both involved in the interaction.

Worse, the responder immediately discredits that the original poster could possible offer anything by way of new information to them. That they have "seen" more.

Because this poster played highschool football they know more of the game both then, and now regardless of the others position in life. They present this with absolute certainty.

The poster alludes to automatacally accepting the written world of anyone claiming to see a player before their time, while discrediting the original poster you indicated he had studied at least in part factual reference materials of pre merger NFL history.

The poster assumes his father is smarter and has a greater ability to relate to someone half his age than people who may have experienced a similar situation less the generation gap. That the thought and experience of friends he chose could not possible be as intelligent as the father he could not chose. This indicated that they have little faith in their friends, and therefor there ability to choose their friends.

That sure resembles the definition of arrogance to me.

The key thing to note is that this formula of wisdom and knowledge gain based solely on age and experience only applies to the responder.

This formula would not be true if the statement was made that there are many coaches in the NFL that are older than Bill Belichick, the have therefor seen and experience more football in their lives, and it must be concluded that they are smarter, wiser and better coaches than Bill Belichick.

Patriots fans take note, this is one of the key reasons you are hated.

You think you are smart, you tell everyone that will listen.

And in doing so to prove your point you make baseless illogical statements drawn from arrogance and pride.

That is the funniest post I have seen in quite some time.
