I've been thinking about this for a while and I'm hoping you Dolphins experts out there can shed some light.  I want to know why I never hear any push to get some consideration to Mark Clayton and Mark "Super" Duper for the Hall of Fame.  Once in a while I hear Marino say something. Sure seems like the best passer ever could have one of his guys in there.

Can the community get involved to help?  I wrote a letter once to a Miami sports editor trying to get awareness for a couple of the '72 Dolphins defensive guys but got no feedback.

The poll I want to do is ask which Dolphin most belongs to be in the Hall of Fame and tell us why if you want.  Also give me your opinion why no Dolphin is getting in.  I believe at least two should be in there and could be as many as five need strong consideration.

And Bradshaw can shut his Dolphin hating mouth up!! Opps. that wasn't nice.

I'm going to go with Mark Clayton (even though either one of the Marks brothers should be in) because Clayton was Marino's favorite target. He made one of the most amazing catches I've ever seen.

I don't remember the exact year, but we were playing the Bears in the playoffs in Chicago and Marino launched it down the field to Clayton, the defender was literally lying on top of Clayton on the ground and Mark stuck out his left arm, while on the ground still, and made a one hand catch, in the snow, lying on his back, with a Bear's defender on top of him.

Wow Phins-Ed that sounds like a great catch.  Clayton also made some good catches against the 1985 Bears in the game to keep them from going undefeated.  He was really clutch.  I think the Marks were both only about 5'9".  Must have been tough to hang in for so long.  I just remember them adjusting to a lot of balls Marino flung up there to make amazing catches.  Duper is Dolphins all time receiver.

I loved Nat Moore too but  he was in a time when passing wasn't really the primary weapon it is today unless you were the Chargers I still think Moore was every bit as good as Lynn Swann who didn't have very many catches.  Moore is the one they show in replays against the Jets spinning like a top in the air.

Boy!!  34 people viewed my poll and only 2 have an opinion. No one remembers or has heard about the 70's & 80's Dolphins?   Man do I feel old.
