THANK GOD HE WAS OVER RULED!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- A woman called police saying Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver James Hardy was beating up his father and had pulled a gun when she yelled for him to stop.

It was reported during the draft they held a vote to see if they should trade up for James Hardy, or wait and see who is available at the end of Round 2. Good thing they voted against it!

DALLAZ4LIFE,

I was very shocked to learn he had actually held some votes on some of the decisions. You know it had to be killing him!

I think him getting overruled at the draft is significant because it seems Jerry is finally listening to those who actually do the scouting. For so long people assumed it was Bill running the draft, and when Bill left people thought Jerry would return to being "Lord of the Manor." This just isn't so, and I believe Jerry as a GM has definately improved over the years. I now don't sweat going into draft day afraid that Jerry is going to do something completely over the top stupid.

If Felix Jones over Rashard Mendenhall isnt a Jerry pick then I dont know what is. Im sure Jerry listens to his "experts" for the majority of the draft, but that first pick had his name written all over it. If Hardy keeps it up he might be a Cowboy before you know it. And I dont mean it in a bad way. Im all for getting everyone elses thugs at discount prices. I'll take a 6'8" speed receiver over a role model any day.

I think Jerry made the right choice in picking Felix Jones over Mendenhall. Jones is the perfect change up to MBIII. I think Jones may end up being the Offensive Rookie of the Year because of all the weapons the Cowboys have it is highly likely Jones will be highly productive. Jason Calvin Garrett knows how to use his offensive weapons. I think The Cowboys are at least the 2nd best team in the NFL....roster wise.

I agree CowboyDRE88,

I live in Big Ten Country so I've seen Mendenhall quite a few times. There was really never a wow moment for me watching him. He is good don't get me wrong, but he just seemed to be missing something. I'll be honest the first time I saw Felix is when Wisky placed Arkansas in the Capital One Bowl. I came away more impressed watching him than McFadden. His ability to follow his blocks and make amazing and smart cuts impressed me. Also he has very good vision, looked like a better pass catcher, and has a wonderful ability to get seperation...I started thinking who the He** is this guy. So I started watching a few more of his games and he continued to impress me. I believe he will be a better pro back than Mendenhall...Quite frankly I was hoping Jerry would pick Felix...if you watch them both play, I think you'd agree with me.....almost 3,000 yards in three seasons as a back up RB...who does that!
