Come on, Gregg... if you had any semblance of athletic ability or knowledge of basketball, you'd realize how tough it is on the road...IN THE PLAYOFFS....AGAINST THE DEFENDING CHAMPS.  The Hornets blew the game?  Sure, there was a point where they were in the game.  But losing by 10-20 on the road to the Spurs isn't exactly a story.  It's expected by a team that is on the brink of elimination.  Thanks for wasting 2 minutes of my life and thanks for making me write yet a negative post before I go to bed.

I agree DMan...the Spurs absolutely deserved to win but to say the Hornets blew it might be pushing it.  Yeah I was screaming at my TV because of MoPete but in my eyes, the turning point was that slew of offensive foul calls against the Hornets early in the 3rd, some of them very questionable (especially the one West got T'ed up on).  It was pretty much after that point that the wheels just came off.  And also, are you seriously questioning their ability to bring it back together for game 7?  This is a team that's 5-0 at home so far this year and came back to beat the crap out of the Spurs in game 5 after people left them for dead after game 4.  I'm not guaranteeing a Hornets victory but get real.  These guys have a very good chance to come out on top.  The main key won't be their mental state but the physical one (with Chandler and West).  Byron will have these guys ready to play.  After today, Scott coached teams are now 7-2 in games where his team can clinch.  Game 7 should definitely be a good one.

It is pretty clear, not even using replay, that 4 of 5 of those fouls were legit fouls.  Forearms into chests is a foul.  The only foul not easily seen first time around is the second Paul foul, when Bowen went sprawling backwards (not the one when he stood straight up)...I thought it wasn't as clear, but on replay, it too was a foul.

As for the Hornets, they have to deal with a different mental state, even though the odds are clearly on their side:  They have an elimination game coming up.  They haven't had that yet, and the Spurs have.  Yes, the Hornets are creaming the Spurs in NO, but this changes things a bit.

Chances are that the Hornets get healthy, get jacked up, and cream the Spurs yet again.  But the pressure's on.

I agree DMan-how come every time a team has been blown out on the road these playoffs it seems like everyone says they "choked".  The defending champs are hard to beat at home that's why!  I don't think the Hornets panicked or choked, the more experienced Spurs just stayed poised at home during elimination.  After all, the Hornets have crushed them a couple times too.
