this is a no-brainer... is there anything better than an In & Out Burger's Double-Double Animal style.... umm no. Well at least not in burger land. Hell you can have it any way you want. Skip Burger Kings modo..."have it your way". And the fact that there is a huge secret menu that most people don't even know about. Yummm, burger.

I had to go with In & Out! There are some other good burgers out there but none compare. I have been to a lot of the other joints people are talking about that are only located on the east coast and up north and still none compare. Fatburger is good too but I still don't think it's as good.

If we were to talk about other than fast food there are some great burger joints around but the best ones can be compared to the best Mexican food places. The "Hole in the Wall" restaurants are where you find the best food. Even though this place is not really a "hole in the wall" there is this place in Santa Ana called Bill's Burgers when I was a kid we use to stop by there on the way to church and they had the best burgers.

O.k. Gents..  and Lady.   lol   Darth seriously NEEDS to find an In & Out Burger joint..

Problem is, I live on the East Coast..  What's the closest one to the Wash D.C. area??

Years ago, when visiting my family in Louisiana, my cousins took me to Checkers (also called Rallys).  At the time there wasn't any in the D.C. area.. The very next summer, there were Checkers Burgers all over MD., and I went crazy..  Wish the same thing would happen to In&Out...  I must have an In&Out burger..

And what is this Animal Style burger you all talk about??  Darth is intrigued....

If flying to the West Coast is the only way Darth can get an In&Out Burger, then prepare my shuttle!!!  Time I visit the family anyway!!

I have been there to In & Out Burgers before.  Last time was in...uhhh, 1997!  Been awhile!  Wow, I didn't know you're living in east coast area.  Yes, I've been to Washington, DC and lived there for 3 years.   In Houston, TX  there's a really excellent burger joint called  LITTLE BITTY BURGER BARN.  It's not a franchise.  Good burgers like Jalapeno Cheese (darn spicy!), Blk Blue Cheese etc.   Check it out at  www.littlebittyburgerbarn.comYes, that place makes real french fries just like In & Out Burgers indeed!  Hope you got enuf fuel in your shuttle to get to two places and back home  LOL

That I did. To this day I think I'd have to call that original A&W the best A&W. It's not that all the others aren't good; it's just that something about the original is slightly better. I don't know if they do the classic car shows anymore though. I moved away from Lodi 5 years ago, though not as far as you apparently. I'm guessing there is no chance it's anywhere close to when I graduated, so probably no point in asking, but when did you graduate?

I hadn't heard that Louis Rankin was from Stockton. I did, however, know that Adam Melhuse, formerly the Athletics backup catcher, was from there.

My personal favorite is Tacobell. But I am from New Hampshire and have been to other states and really going from state to state there is major differences in fast food places. Cant stand Burger King from new york, my milk shake comes out more solid then the Burger does. Tacobell in other states is just nasty but up in NH they make it really good. Damn I love them Chalupas.

Never been to some of the places mentioned. I dont really care where I eat, but I wont eat at McDonalds anywhere, its just plain nasty.
