	Okay first off the ref was 15 feet away and rules a players rear end is over the line. Sorry but from his angle there is no way he could make that judgment. More importantly however officials are graded by their performances after each game and my guess is with the commish in the crowd watching I doubt we see this young man any more this season. The way it works is first round ( 20), second round (12). Conference finals down to 8. Don't see that he makes the cut to do the finals.

	You do realize this is Bettman you are talking about, right? They were probably instructed by Bettman before the game "ok, fellas, if we can extend this series one more game, especially on a nationally televised Saturday, it will mean more money for all of us. I don't care what kind crazy calls you make, just make it happen!"

	You do realize this is Bettman you are talking about, right? 	I'll bet you we do. He is one of the top refs in teh league...one bad call does not a poor ref make.. I doubt he does. I didn't have a problem with the call so much as the fact he so far away from the play he couldn't actually see if the player was in the crease or not. He was out of position and made the call and that will keep him out of the next round.Remember since they are all graded and he already has an " oops " someone else will have to screw up . Only one half of the refs in the conference finals will be in the cup finals.

	I just don't think it was that big a mistake to warrant removal. There were worse misses and to beat a dead horse the original Holmstrom goal in Game 1 qualifies....

	Look I am not calling for his removal.Just pointing out that officials get graded and the top ones move to the next round. It is unfortunate but I believe of the eight officials for the conference finals that number will be paired down to four. The list is Devorski (21 years ), Hasenfratz (8 years ),Joanette ( 15 years ), McCreary (26 years ), O'Halleran (16 years),Pollock ( 11 years ),Sutherland (9 years ) and Watson ( 15 years ). I just think a key mistake is enough to keep you out . However when the officials are announced for the finals we will all know for sure. It is interesting to note that several veteran officials asked out of the playoffs among them some of the more veteran officials .

	Who called the game when Thoreson wiped out Huet? I would hope those two clowns aren't still in the mix.... I know they get graded, my point was it might not be be the reason....but what do I know
