I am not doubting L.T's immense talent.  He is one of the best to ever play the game at his position.  LT, has long been thought of as a classy guy of high character...now I am seeing a high character guy lose his cool and that is sad.  I remember after New England beat LT's Chargers in the playoffs and LT was ready to fight afterwards.  I remember the comments he made last season, the way he turned his back on Phillip Rivers during games, the way he publicly criticized his quarterback, the way he sat on the sidelines with his helmet and jacket on as his team was fighting for a potential superbowl berth without him.  It doesn't surprise me seeing this side of LT, that he is reveling in the Patriots mess because he cannot beat them.  He keeps getting a free pass because he is LT.  I guarantee had Chad Johnson or Terrell Owens did what LT did, the media was crucify them, but let the "good, humble, classy guy" do it and it becomes "he was just frustrated for not reaching their potential".  The double standard this guy gets is a joke.  LT is a stud and a half, I would love to have a back like him, I would draft him #1 overall in fantasy even, but the man is a cry baby.  He is showing his true colors in adversity.  Once is coincidence, twice is cause for concern, 3 times is a trend.  Sorry people....your "good guy" doesn't walk on water after all.  Your good guy doesn't smell so rosey all the time....your "good guy" has a temper and a problem controlling his emotions but that is alright, he doesn't operate tv cameras after he scores or his last name isn't Owens, so it is ok.  He is still one hell of a football player though....none of us can cry about that!

First off rodrima21, you don't know shit about me.  Who the hell are you??  How can you say anything I say has no meaning.  I am the farthest thing from a bandwagoner.  What is my motivation if I AM a bandwagoner like you say, to keep rooting for and defending the Patriots?  We lost the Superbowl, 18-1 is now one of the most insulting punchlines for immense failure ever imagined, and everything else with spygate.  Bandwagoners would have jumped ship long ago you schmuck.  You make ignorant assumptions about someone just because I root for all L.A. teams and the Patriots.  You don't know anything about me you moron!  I root for all LA teams because I live in Los Angeles.  I like the Patriots because 1) LA has no football team and hasn't had one for about 15 years or so, 2) I spent my summers in Norwood Mass when I went to visit my dad who lived there.  I don't have to justify my loyalties to any team that I am loyal to for you.  I watch UCLA and USC in both football and basketball.  I didn't go to either school so why I should I have a blind hatred towards any of them.  I like to UCLA do well in football, just as I like to see SC do well in basketball.  THEY ARE HOME TEAMS YOU SCHMUCK!

PS> ....If I were a bandwagoner, why I do I hate the Red Sox(defending MLB champs), I hate the Spurs(defending NBA champs), I hate the Celtics(best record in the NBA) ?

Read any of my posts and see whats up.  I am one of the most unbaised, fair SPORTS fans there are.  When the Giants beat us, I congratulated the Giants and all the Giants fans.  If the Lakers lose I will do the same.

Step to me with something relative and related to the post then we can talk you loser.

I agree. LT has become very full of himself. after the divisonal playoff game against NE he was saying how we all know he's a classy player. He's always talking about how great he is. The thing is, when you're a great person, you don't brag about it

Tomlinson is kind of sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong by talking about hte Patriots cheating, and saying he looks down on them for it. This is the guy who sat out the AFC Championship after saying he was at 95%. Now he is mouthing off? He already has a nickname made up of his initials, he's just one suicidal, pill-popping drive away from TO.

He speaks the truth and you Patriot cheating punks cry foul.  Now that's a joke.  LT is right, Belichick is classless and your whole legasy is gone.  The truth hurts.

I have to admit, I used to think L.T.  was a very classy guy, but that all changed a couple of years ago.  I am not a Patriots fan, nor am I a Chargers hater, but what LT has been crying about for two years is getting tired.  He needs to clean up his own house, meaning the Chargers house.  Shawn Merriman cheated by taking steroids, and Philip Rivers is a classless cry baby as well.

Was it right for the Patriots to illegally tape teams signals, of course not, but lets be honest, that isn't the worst thing that could happen.  I have heard many former players and coaches blow it off by saying that it isn't that big of a deal, so I believe them because they are the ones around the game.

If the Chargers players would focus more on themselves instead of the Patriots, maybe they would get over the hump, but until then, they will just be a talented team who makes the playoffs, but doesn't do much after that.

ok so hes an emotional guy. how exactly does that make him not a good guy?
he wanted people who cheated to be punished, especially after that team had beaten them in the playoffs twice in a row, must have made it sweeter.

hes still a good guy. and by his latest comments, it sounds like he just wants this thing to be over. he wants the cheaters punished and the page turned.

I like and admire LT even more.  He is speaking the truth about the Patriots.  They are cheaters, have no class, and have their victories in question.

A player should be able to speak his mind.  He's saying what is already on the minds of the majority of the nation.  The Patriots organization is a joke.

I love all the naive Patriots haters on here.  If you all think that the Patriots are the only ones doing this kind of stuff, get real.  I am not going to go as far as to say that all the teams are doing it, but I bet the majority are.  By the way, as I said in my previous post, if LT despises cheating so much, then why didn't he address his own teammates case of cheating.  Not only did Shawn Merriman get caught taking steroids, but then he won the defensive player of the year award the same season.   That is hypocracy at its best.

My man JBANk, favorite Pats fan on the boards.

I gotta disagree about Tomlinson. Patriots fans all call him some whiney crybaby but the man speaks the truth. He speaks what's on his mind.

When the Patriots deliberately insulted them and danced on their logo, would you call that anything less than classless? He spoke the truth, and he shouldn't have to apologize for that.

And him saying that is comes from the Head Coach is probably a dead-on assessment. NO Tony Dungy player would EVER do what the Patriots players did that day. I think LT respected the Pats until that.

The rest of this BS is just a result of the ridiculously constant media focus. They search so hard to find stories that they create them. Why do they have to show what's going on at the bench? Are they interviewing the guys while they are there or just showing them and speculating? Sounds like the latter to me. During the heat of battle, of course there are bound to be feuds between players of the same team when they are not getting it right.

As pertains to LT's comments about his QB in the media, LT is the team leader. Sometimes the leader needs to call a couple of guys out to humble them and make them work harder. Rivers was basically handed the reigns to a SB contender, as a teenager is handed the keys to a corvette. LT is the parent who is saying "hey, you gotta be responsible for how you drive the car". Should he save his comments for behind closed doors? maybe. But some guys just don't listen, especially super-rich ball players who have been given everything they want their whole lives. A little public chastising could go a long way to humbling Rivers and getting him to work harder and take his team to the next level.

I agree about the double-standard, but not because I want to bring down LT, it's because i think the media vilifies guys like Randy Moss, Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson. Did Randy do some dumb stuff early in his career? Of course he did. He was a young, pampered multi-millionaire. They tend to do dumb stuff. Has he matured since? of course. He was looked at as a team leader in Oakland, and didn't publicly cry about wanting out until it was just too bad a situation. Remember, he didn't choose to get traded to them.

Terrell Owens, I feel, is the most misunderstood athlete in sports. All the guy wants is to win and to be recognized by his peers and by his bosses for what he does. Is that not a natural human desire? Just because the scales are escalated, doesn't change the feeling. TO is indisputably one of the best to EVER do what he does, but he's constantly beaten up in the media and doesn't get the credit he deserves. He MADE Jeff Garcia, Donovan McNabb had his best years of his career playing with TO, and he's turned Romo into a star as well. Everywhere he stops, QB's have the best years of their career. Don't you think that's more than just coincidence?

As for Chad Johnson, he has pretty much the same problem. He wants to win. That desire he has is serious. He's stuck in a dead-end organization that is tying him down for the prime years of his career while other guys are getting chances at greatness. He feels tricked by the organization. He signed an extension with them when they were doing a great job of bringing in solid players and keeping their good guys. They made the playoffs, and had a good shot at making the SB. So Chad re-signed. Ever since, the team has released Eric Steinbach (a Pro Bowl Guard) and replaced him with nobody. They released Justin Smith (their best defensive lineman) and replaced him with guys who have barely ever started. Who have the brought in to help? All they'd done is draft a pair of corners in the first rounds of the past 2 drafts, with this year taking a linebacker. Meanwhile, the Saints have aggressively upgraded their roster, bringing in Jonathan Vilma and Dan Morgan at linebacker (both of whom are upgrades) and trading up to get Sedrick Ellis in the draft. It appears the Bengals front office is asleep at the wheel, and Chad is stuck in the backseat with the childlock on. Once Glenn Dorsey slipped to #5, why didn't the Bengals try to go up there and grab him? They missed on DT's all off-season while Marcus Stroud, Kris Jenkins and Shaun Rogers (3 Pro Bowlers) were traded, plus Corey Williams moved too. The Bengals couldn't land any of those guys, and missed on the top 2 DT's in the draft because they didn't see the move from the Saints coming? COME ON. They had been talking about trading up for weeks.

The Bengals are one of the most dysfuntional, talented teams in the NFL. For a while it looked like they'd become the next Colts, with Carson, Chad and TJ. But their D is still not good enough and their play-calling has been questionable.

If I were Chad, I'd be trying to get out too.

Point after all that is, these guys are humans too. Someone like Mike Vick or Pacman Jones can't really be defended for the stuff they've been getting into. But TO has been clean of off-field issues. His off-field issues are all related to stuff ON the field. Same with Johnson.

LT is still the class of the NFL and a surefire HOFer, even if he retired right now.

I apologize to anybody who read the entirety of this post because it was waaaaay too long. lol.... bored at work

wangjung I wonder wats your favorite team and im guessing the Patriots have humiliated them at some piont during their dynasty. mock belichick and the Pats all you want, its the players that make the games and win superbowls after all is said and done. even if they have an intellectual advantage they must perform when it counts otherwise that advantage means nothing. I know some patriots players first hand, the ones ive met are the classiest and most humble (minus Ellis Hobbs) men I've met. Teddy bruschi is one of the best role models i could think of, hes a great athelete, intelligent, a wonderful father and he overcame adversity in the form of a stroke and after all the criticism he hasnt lost his compusre and continues to inspire me, along with many other members of the Patriots. Its take strong, courageous individuals to stand back and take massive abuse like they have from players and fans for acts committed by their coach. They are great people. Don't belittle their accomplishments.
