Yes some of those "home-court" calls were brutal, particularly in the third quarter when we were trying to make our run, but we had our chances, and just couldn't hit the big shots at the end yet again. Each game on the road has really been just a matter of hitting out shots down the stretch, whcih we have failed to do.

My patience with Okur is running thin. His inability to defend and box out consitently is no longer being overshadowed by clutch shooting, something which needs to change in the next game. That flop at the end of the game was pathetic. Even if he did get shoved by Gasol (which he might have) he didn't even make a play to get the ball, he just tried to get the call. That is not the kind of player I want on my team. Boozer needs to show up on the road and have an all star game, not just an average, 15-20pt, 10 reb game. We also need to limit turnovers and dominate the glass like we can. We still have not played anything close to a complete game on the road, and had chances in all three games. Of course, it doesn't matter if we don't take care of business at home.

I'm with Sloan on this one.  I believe the calls were bad enough to cost us a shot at the road win.  We may have played bad but then again, so did LA but they received the help they needed to play bad and still win.

Jezo, you may wanna lighten up on Mehmet a bit, he's basically playing through a pretty sore Achilles tendon.  Unfortunately, the Jazz are a little thin on viable big men to spell Okur in this series - tough break...

No basically about it. He is playing through it. He was icing his ankles in the first half of game 4 and came out and had a monster second half. He is lacking on D because he has to play back a little in case someone tries to get the step on him, he loses his ability to cut with the soreness. It's either try to make them hit a jumper or burn him to the hole. Fact is, since the all star game Memo is playing better than Booze.

You are right though. I hate the whining and the flopping, just make the damn play. If you don't get a call go make a play and do something to get it back. Whining never changes the refs mind.

I'lm with you guys. Here are the top 5 things that sucked about game 5

1. Boozer: Wow! he turned into JoeJoe the idiot basketball player. I think we may have have won had Milsap played in his place.

2. TNT must have more than those 4 stupid comercials they played every damn time! For some reason that really got me quite angry.

3. Refs. The Lakers probably would have won if the calls in the 4th were even because Boozer sucked so bad but, it was really uneven. why does it have to be like that?

4. Watching the ugliest player in basketbal Pau Gasol kick our butts. I Truly HATE him as a basketball player. He's like Joe Dirt, that nasty facial pubic hair is always there and  makes me want to hurl.

5.   Kobe only takes 10 shots and we still lose. We missed a prime chance to win a championship. If SA goes down, I honstly think we would take it. So close!

I still believe, we can do it. Boozer It is ALL up to you.

You are never going to get that call when you are not making a play for the ball.  If he had jumped up to try to get the rebound, perhaps the ref would see that the push in the back was the reason he didn't get it, but when you just flop to get the call....it ain't gonna happen.

Take care of buisness at home, force a game seven, then we will get one more shot - all of the pressure will be on them.

First off, I agree that you need to give Okur a little break. The achilles tendon is no joke. I tore mine 3 years ago and still have problems today.
Second, your not going to get those calls on the road, game 4 proved that for us. Make an attempt for the ball and quit flopping.
Pau is a great player and there is only 1 guy on the Jazz that I wouldn't trade him for and that's DWILL. I agree he needs to shave, but he owned you in the second.
Third, if Kobe is only shooting 10 times and almost cracking 30 while shooting 50% +, you won't win.
I think were looking at seven games here, but I would love to see them wrap it up on your home court and send the best team at home this year with a loss at home in the last game of the season.
Game 7 does put pressure back on us, but now it's pressure on you. Let's see how Utah handles an elimination game.

Let's see how Utah handles an elimination game.Let's also see how the LA handles a second straight close-out opportunity on the road, they're 1 for 1 so far...

Glad to see some of my fellow Jazz fans aren't blaming the game on the refs.  I was pulling my hair out in the fourth quarter over some of the whistles, but you have to expect that on the road.  Jazz are maybe the most physical team in the NBA and they haven't got the calls thier way all season.  They should know this by now.

Game six is going to be tough, but I think the Jazz pull out a win.  I am hoping so because game seven's are what makes the NBA worth watching.
