Recruiting News!

There is some news out there today. ND just finished looking at Tape and ND is going to extend a offer to QB Jon Budmayer.  Its not great news but ND needs to bring in a QB every class.  He is the only QB ND is going to offer. They lost out on 1 QB this year and they dont want to lose out on another one.  Some good news is he played High School ball with Sean Cwynar.  He is only a 3 star prospect but put him down as a sleeper. News is he has a very nice arm.

Also Jonas Gray is trying to get his buddy WR Bennie Fowler. He is a speed WR.  He will be a project so dont expect him to make an impact right away. Look for his JR year to do anything if he picks ND.

Some bad news Devonte Holloman #2 Safety picked Clemson today.

Here are some Updates. There isnt alot out there but here is some news.

ND Lost QB Jon Budmayer. This is not good because ND came out and said he was there #1 Guy. So now any other QB looking at us will know they will be there #2 option. Here are some names being tossed around. Ryan Mossakowski- From Tx, 6/4 201 lbs. He is ranked as the #6 QB.  Richard Brehaut ranked #9.  6-3 205 lbs.  These are both 4 star recruits. If I had to pick between the two I would go with Brehaut.

Stavion Low (OT) is coming to ND to vist soon. He is a 4 star recruit and ranked #13.

Xaiver Nixion (OT)- I think we are in his Top 3. This is great news for the Irish.  Ranked #2.

Chris Watt (OG)- We are in his Top 5, and I feel we are more in the Top 3.  Ranked #1.

Also ND picked there Kicker. Dustin Hopkins looks like he is going to get an offer from ND. I dont like this pick I liked the other kicker  Nicholas Tausch. He has been kicking without a Tee since his JR year. The reason kickers dont pan out because they are use to kicking with a 1 inch or 2 inch Tee. Overall Hopkins is a good kicker. He has a very strong leg.

Thanks purguy for the update. I know it is early and everything and it might just be me, but is Nd not doing that well recruiting. Hopefully the Irish can bounce back and more recruits will be interested.

Also have you heard anything about Sam Young. I read on here that he is not enrolled at ND for the fall so far. What is going on with him. Will he be in an Irish uniform come September.
