It is about respect not fear, no cowards on the field in the NFL. When asked what he thought about only scoring 17 points in the Superbowl, Tom Brady chuckled, "only 17 points". That my friends showed lack of respect and arrogance, cost them the game.  Bellichick let that team get too wrapped up in the perfect season. Not saying he did not try to lay down the law but somewhere between the AFC Championship and Feb. 3, the hype got to them, then Michael Strahan and Jason Tuck finished the job.

Nobody talks much about going for it on 4th and 13 instead of trying a FG anymore, but they lost by 3 points. Again Bellichick got caught up the hype, predicated on previous success durring the season, instead of sound reasoning at the time of impact.

Are the Giants a good team? Sure they are. I'm still not sold completely on Eli Manning but he does seem to have finally gotten a hold of the NFL game.

But I certainly wouldn't fear them as a Bears fan since they played them pretty competitively last year. Especially if Michael Strahan retires.

I do like Kenny Phillips though. He's my pick to be Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Tom Brady is scared as hell of the Giants.  He still has nightmares of Justin Tuck, Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyioua and others chasing him all of the field in February and knocking his overrated chin sphincter to the turf 25 times.

The Giants came off like a one hit wonder in 2007, getting hot at the right time and rolling through the playoffs. If they lost to the Redskins early in the season then the coach gets fired, the team implodes, 2007 is a bust and Tiki looks like a savant. Do it again, or at least play well in 2008, and then you will get people looking over their shoulder at you.

I do. I think they have something very few teams can ever have. Less pressure on the road than at home.

So what if  they are 10-6 every year and play 4 road games. It won't be as bad as playing in NY where they all boo you the entire game for throwing 1 interception. I can't imagine if Tom Brady was the NY Giants QB. He'd have been booed out of NY before he could have hit 50 TDs.
