Because they did double the runner off first it's ok. If they didn't and I was the pitcher I would have lost my $h!t on him and the manager should have sat him. But he did make the play so I think it's fine. I actually like that he's talking to the media again. You know he's giving a funny quote every time he opens his mouth

Yea but in NO WAY did the hi-five effect his ability and quickness to get the throw off. If the runner had started back earlier and had gotten back in time it still wouldnt have been Manny's fault because the Hi-Hive had no effect.

If he had stumbled while he did it that would be a different story, but his hi-hive was more a hand slap he was shifting that way anyways and put his hand out and slapped the red son fan lol. Its really funny if you think about it.

I would have laughed so hard if the guy was holding a beer and Manny "hi-fived" slapped it out of his hand!! HAHAHA

Approrpriate? Absolutely Not

Then again, who gives a $h!t about appropriatness

That was one of the most hilarious plays i have ever seen. Manny deserves props for that, if not from a baseball perspective, then at least from a comedic perspective

Not a huge fan of Manny Ramirez, but I did enjoy the play.  It obvioulsy was not planned, so he wasn't trying to showboat.  Actually I think he was even suprised after he did it.  Did you see his reaction with the rest of the team in the dugout...  it was a fun play and even though it may not have been politically correct for baseball, it makes it more enjoyable.
For once... way to go manny....
