Bonsor is struggling early again.  1st inning grand slams make it awfully hard to come back from.  Especially against a guy like Halladay who we have yet to beat.  Lets hope the Twins brought their bats tonight.

I guess they brought the bats.  Hopefully Boof can continue mowing em down.

Boof has been truly terrible lately.

In his last three starts, he's gone a total of 16 innings with a nasty 1.625 WHIP and an ERA of 16.00. I kind of understand his struggles vs. Boston and Detroit - they're pretty great - but Toronto? Yikes. I really want to see Mulvey or Swarzak soon.

Whoops... I meant that his ERA was 9.00 in his last three starts.

Yeah another rough start, but I'd have to agree with what they're saying in the strib:  the defense has cost them this series.  Hopefully they can salvage one this afternoon.

The one thing you can say about Boof is that he has potential. I mean he gave up 6 runs in the first inning a couple of games again and was left in and the Twins won. He gave up a 4 spot yesterday and was left in and almost one. You take away those two bad innings early on and he's darn near throwing a shutout for two games. He's like one or two pitches or outs away from doing fantastic. He just needs to cut down on the big inning. Limit the other team to two, not 6 runs. Also, he needs to not throw a fast ball down the pipe on the first pitch to Matt Stairs after walking the bases loaded. Come on, that was stupid.
