your hatred toward yost is way too evident. you question everything he does. He is a big league manager and you are nothing but a know it all on a message board. pretty sure he knows a little more than you do.

As a result of lefties getting on base so frequently, Penny has an ERA of 6.38 against lefties and 3.77 against righties.

Is it just me, or is a simple decision based on overwhelming statistics just something that should be expected from a manager?  Let me guess, Ned has a "hunch" that these guys are due.

Craig Counsell is 2 for 20 in his career against Penny, overwhelming statistics indeed.

That's just it pfish, if you ever paid attention to anything that goes on around these boards instead of just starting idiotic fueds with Cubs fans, you would know that I spent all of last season and the first month of this season as Ned's biggest supporter.  And as such, I defended and tried to justify each and every decision that everyone else was questioning.

Ok, and Hall is 5 for 42 this month.  The homerun has the uncanny ability to turn average baseball fans to confusion and false hope.  Hall is an all or nothing player who steps into the clubhouse everyday saying "im going up there to hit a homerun and to hit a homerun only".  Having 9 of his 29 total hits being homeruns this season pretty much sums that up.  Don't get me wrong, it's not only chicks that dig the long ball, but he doesn't fool me the way he apparently is fooling some of you.

I've come to the conclusion that Yost doesn't manage, he just listens to the fans and sports talk radio and does what ever they say.  I have several examples I can point out.  Or he steals the idea.

1.2007 everyone in Milwaukee, and I mean everyone, was sick of the constant lineup changes that Yost seemed to make at will, and for no apparent reason.  Fast forward to 2008, the lineup doesn't change no matter how poor our No. 2 & 3 hitters are doing.

2. At the beginning of this season Yost put Fielder 3, Braun 4.  And didn't move them until the players confronted him.

3.Gagne says he doesn't deserve the 9th, the next night he is no longer the closer.  2 days later he says he's ready and BAM!! back in the closer role.  His 2 inning outing the night before wasn't deserving of winning his job back.

4.He clearly stole the Cards Pitcher in the 8 hole.

5.He says he plays the match ups, but clearly doesn't.  He allows whoever to bat whenever and for no apparent reason.

This is kind of like on Friday when Manny Parra allowed 3 runs in 1.0 innings pitched and had the bases loaded in the second inning with nobody out and everybody was yelling at Yost to take Parra out of the game. Yost keeps Parra in and the Brewers go on to win as Parra doesn't allow another run all game. Villanueva went on to pitch another QS and earn the W, thankfully Yost did not pull him out
Ok, so you can tell me honestly that if para last wk with the bases loaded ends up giving up a bases clearing double, a homer or whatever and doesnt get out of that inning you are fine w/ ned keeping him in there?  And then last night when V is in there and is getting lit up when there is 2 outs and we are down 3-1 and it looks like the Dodgers might blow this bitch wide open you and some of the other fans on this message board are going to say, "well V maybe next time kid."  Bullsh!t, ned played it right last night and last wk or should I say he got lucky by letting them stay in there and get out of it but last year that wasnt the case, he left them in there to murder their ERA and take one for the team that's why I wrote that, so you know I guess he is the manager and that why I am just a fan but sometimes he just blows me away w/ some of his play calling....

Look, I am not on here to argue about silly stuff, my last post was just to say that if things would have gone differently and dont get me wrong here thank god they didnt, its great to see these young pitchers throwing better and getting out of jams but if parra doesnt get out of that bases loaded jam and V gives up a few more runs when hes already down 3-1 and ned doesnt do anything about it are you going to come on here and get mad at people because they have a negative attitude towards Yost?? Ok, Im dont ranting for now, we've won 3 in a row and only 3 back of the crappy Cubs, Parra is on the mound tonight hopefully lefty gives us some good innings and we go home winners again, isnt it nice to see Torre losing?  After all them years in NY Im glad to see him going through some trying times in LA, GO CREW!!!!!
