Are you completely stupid or can't you read or...

According to the 2000 US Census, there are 35 million Hispanics in the US.

According to the 2000 US Census, there are (roughly) 10 million Hispanics between the ages of 6-17 (pee wee, jr. high, and high school age).

According to the 2000 US Census, (assuming the ratio of men to women holds true) there are roughly 4 million Hispanic boys between the ages of 6-17.

According to the 2000 US Census, (assuming the ratio of men to women holds true), there are roughly 17.5 million black and white boys between the ages of 6-17.

Boys.  Not total hispanics.

God, why am I arguing this with you?  You can't even grasp the concept of racism, much less ratios and big numbers with more than one zero.

Done.  Out.

CBS, give me a friggin' ignore button already!!!!!!!!

it doesn't matter who gets elected, Obama, Clinton or McCain, I don't think any one of them capable of running this country, properly......both parties are pathetic....

I have to agree as well, we're in deep trouble. At least we found something to agree on.

What say you, Mrsooner?

I want to make sure my students are citizens of the world so every Wednesday I DVR national and local news, burn it to a DVD and we do "It's News To Me Thursdays".  Being an election year, every week I make sure to include some sort of political news.

I am amazed and the hatred my kids have for George Bush.  The comment I get most of the time is "George Bush hates Mexicans".  Of course, I try to explain that he has Hispanic nieces and nephews.  I try to explain that Bush is the one pushing a guest worker program.

Anyway, one of the things I keep trying to hammer into their little noggins is that they MUST think for themselves.  Here are some of the key points I keep telling them.

Sen. Obama can make a great speech.  Wonderful.  Elect his speech writer.  Always listen to what they say when they are speechifying.  Then you'll have a better idea of who you are dealing with.

Sen. Clinton criticizes Obama for not being in touch with the "common man" at the same time she is loaning her campaign $11 million from her personal checking account.  How in touch with the common man is a woman who has been a millionaire lawyer/politician most of her life?

Sen. McCain is an enigma.  It's hard to tell what he believes and anyone who is willing to change his core beliefs to get votes is a man who I have a hard time trusting.

Yep, we are hosed!

I hear ya SoonerAlum,

While they are not perfect candidates by any means, what was wrong with Mitt Romney, Joe Biden, Huckabee, or even Ron Paul? We as Americans sure have a nasty habit of eliminating the better choices.

Just call me the "peacemaker"....bring up politics and every thing comes together....by the way I agree none of the canidates left give us much hope...they all stink...and it has nothing to do with race or gender...just in case someone thought I was serious about the black and woman thing...

I strongly believe we need a President with alot of "American Pride". Not one who worries about the world view of America but one who wants to worry about keeping America the greatest country in the world and will put their term into building our economy and fixing our nation's problems. Bush has spent the last 7 or so playing world police, we need a President to shift the focus to America's health. I dont see that in any of these candidates. Clinton will worry about herself (setting up prospering after her term), Obama I dont get the sense has a true love of the America concept, and as Sooneralum stated, I dont think McCain has any idea what the hell he wants.

I, like everyone else in America at the time, felt we should kick butt after 9/11. and Bush was the guy for that job but for the past 6 years I feel he has worried more about the world landscape than the American landscape and America has been sliding.

Many of you may faint at your keyboard, but  Mr. Sooner is correct on his assessment of our nations dire straits in my opinion. There is a small percentage of the population that controls the wealth in America. As inflation looms wages for an hourly employee remain steadfast. The cost of living increase is not  being being equaled by higher wages.  The corruption in Oklahoma alone is a key as to why we have the nations most dangerous roadways to travel on. Citizens have been fleeced by elected officials.

I agree their are no worthy canidates for president. But as long as we have all the bickering between parties nothing will ever be accomplished , and no one individual can make a difference. America has been divided , and we the people are feeling the brunt of it. Everything seems to hinge on agendas , " vote for me and I will do this for you".  My home town has been picked like a chicken by corrupt, elected officials , and we have the highest water rates and sales tax of any city in Oklahoma trying to make up for all the taxpayers money being embezzled, and many of it spent at the local casino that our govenor so vigorously pursued. I don't even know why the hell I am talking about politics , it just pisses me off!! Where is Ross Perot when you need him ?????????????????

    PS. BOOMER SOONER

It's funny you bring up H. Ross.  We were talking at the dinner table a couple of nights ago that he would make a killing if he were in the line up.
