I think all of us cub fans should wake up and look at the big picture.....this news could very well spell the end of the Chicago Cubs playing in Wrigley Field in the not too distant future.
Without a binding lease between two parties The new Owner(s) can very well decide that its better to have a brand new stadium north of the city paid for by the tax payers or a combination of taxpayer and private funding, as opposed to playing in an outdated, crumbling, venue that while historic, has very little potential for drastic improvements...
Don't get me wrong, I love Wrigley Field, as Cub fans its a part of who we are, but today's
news could be its demise someday...
