I'd like to thank our good Badger fan for stating how PSU and ND's rep has been inflated by not playing anyone.
When we all know perfectly well, that Wiscy goes out every year and schedules top nothch opponents out of conference. Do you have UNLV again this year?
Give me a break.

Yeah, because losing in national championship games shows how horrible a program is. The fact they reached those national championship games (with consecutive Big Ten titles) should have no regard whatsoever in a programs' prestige. Haha you know what was a lot funnier? Beating Penn State 37-17!
Here's a fun fact for Penn State fans. In the past five years PSU is 19-21 in the Big Ten. They have gone 9-2 in bowl games as a Big Ten team though.

Also to the Buckeye fan, Are you seriously bragging about 1 national title since 1968 (40 years) as if you own the college football world?
Are you proud that Maurice Clarette was the star of that one team and that he claims he was bought more times than a Cleveland Street Walker? He single handedly tried to bring down the entire program. Just another example of the shady dealings in Columbus.

Did Beannie wells have to re-structure his deal to fit Pryor under your salary cap?

You know what is really funny mgnidovec3.. Your (the Ohio State's fanbase) inability to realize, hey, we could get all the best recruits, but if they don't live up to expectations/the hype, their best recruit status doesn't mean a d@mn man.
Also since you like rehashing past games, do you remember a game 2.5 years ago where everyone had Ohio State picked to #16 Penn State. The funny thing is that if you said that to a typical OSU fan, they'd spit in your face and tell you to !@#$ off.

You're confusing us with USC. We aren't a team that can go out and land high profile recruits from every corner of the country. We've always been built on Ohio football players, with a few from other states each year. We've developed low profile players like A.J. Hawk, Jay Richardson, Rob Sims, Nick Mangold, Vernon Gholston, Antonio Pittman, Ashton Youbouty, and Kirk Barton into NFL players. And that's just from three classes.
So you think Penn State chooses to land three star players? I'm sure they targeted a lot of those players, but if Penn State could have all the players they wanted, 95% of them would be high profile five star prospects.
We really have Penn State to thank for giving us Terrelle Pryor and Dorian Bell. Thanks again for letting OSU take your state's best prospects!

Didn't Penn State come one play away from playing for the national title in 2005? Not every school is going to be great every year. PSU is still a top football program and despite not getting the great recruits football is still a team game. Getting 11 guys on the field at a time to play together and have quality back ups that can be trusted as team players is far more important that having 11 blue chip recruits on the field playing their own game.

I really love how some osu fans carry the scars of those a$$whuppins with pride. "Yep, we got to the NC game twice -- had our heads handed to us both times -- but at least we made it there."
I can respect that osu did get there, but sure don't have to bow down to you when you didn't represent the conference very well at all.

Thanks, smchap, great post -- five for you. I know some OSU fans are more rational about their two NC appearances than others, and I don't mean to rub salt into the wounds of those people. I truly do not understand how a fan can brag about getti | |
