You have to admit that James Jackson from Grand Ledge Michigan at 4.3 speed would have been a nice option asset for RR.

I only worry about his GPA. 2.85 at a M*ch*gan high school? Yikes!

Ok I'm kidding. Sweet pickup for the Buckeyes!

The fact remains UofM pulls more players from Ohio than OSU does Michigan. How recruiting a player from another state translates to shambles is beyond a rationale persons thought.  Jackson was a nice pickup but so was T. Pryor does that mean PSU is in shambles?

Are you kidding me?  You only hear about Mich in past getting a kid from Ohio, because Ohio produces by far more 4 and 5 star HS kids every yr than Michigan does.  tOSU does not go after the majority of the nonstar'ed kids that come out of HS in Michigan.  So your stat is useless and who even cares if accurate. Its pointless, if even correct.

Terrell wasnt even considering PSU, it was between Mich and tOSU.  Again, Tress beat RR at Mich there as well. Point being that Terrell and and now Jackson are textbook option athletes that RR cant even get to go to Mich. Again, Mich is in shambles!!!

The fact remains UofM pulls more players from Ohio than OSU does Michigan. I can only remember one time when scUM got a player that Ohio State really wanted, Charles Woodson........

This is a nice get for the Buckeyes and a blow to Michigan.  I can't wait to hear all the responses from Michigan fans....."We didn't really want him anyways", "We have 10 receivers that are better than him already", etc.  Actually, I've already seen these comments and more like them.

As for the comment about Michigan getting more Ohio kids than the other way around....DUH!!!  Ohio produces ten times as many quality football players than Michigan.  I'm sure Michigan gets more kids from Pennsylvania than PSU gets from Michigan, and more Texas kids than UT gets from Michigan, and more Florida kids.....because those states (Florida, California, Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania) are the hotbeds for football players.  Michigan is an also-ran in that category.

Jackson is a loss but not as big as your making it out to be. RR already recruited a ton of slot-type receivers and we are probably getting McNeal so i think we will be okay.

He doesn't have the grades to play at Michigan. Unlike THE UNIVERSITY OF OHIO STATE we have morals and care about academics and character (cough Maurice cough cough)

Sorry amateur MGER2121. I already used that one. If you can't come up with something on your own you should move on. Seriously it's pathetic.

Just kidding.

I'm sure this guy is great, but at under 6 feet, Jackson hardly fits the modern prototype for a receiver.  I don't care how fast the guy is (where was Ray Small last year?)--the Buckeyes need a receiver who can leap up in the middle of the field and pull down those wounded ducks we all know Boeckman is going to lob up there.

I'll say it right now: I'm not all that impressed with Robiskie--against top competition, he tends to disappear.  Hartline shows guts, but is limited in terms of athletic ability.  My prediction for Buckeye breakout receiver in 2008?  Dane Sanzenbacher.  You heard it here first.

That being said, they still need a 6' 5" jumping freak if they want to have a big time passing game.
