strahan might retire if you dont mind wearing a retired guys jersey ( nothing wrong with it ) then go 4 it hes this gens LT for us ... any way if you want a current giant I wouldnt risk it on him Id go with tuck jacobs or burress but nothin wrong with osi
look for a bradshaw jersey too hes gonna be a stand out player for years to come barring injury and jacobs actualy should have a short carreer ( sadly)

Had this happen to me this past season with my Tiki Jersey. I burned it. I now have nameless shirts and sweats until I decide for this season. It'll probably be Tuck though.
But your point is about trades. If you still like Shockey, as I do, keep the jersey. If he goes out in a ball of flames and tries to take the Giants with him, wear the jersey to your next bonfire and leave without it.

Strahan jersey! even if he does retire..14 year veteran if not longer..i still have a tiki jersey that ive got to wear twice..its on the hanger til i decide to trash it..replaced it with jacobs for this season.. i did pick up a Tuck, Strahan,Ross,Burress superbowl jerseys.boubt i will wear them..to much damn money on jerseys these days

i say go with bradshaw, thats what i did a few weeks ago. i think hell be a superb player for years to come. i dont usualy buy players jerseys until they prove themselves for a few years and i kno that their going to stay with the gmen but this kid is different i think he has the talent to be special

Me personally, I only buy a jersey from a proven veteran, mostly one who is going to be a Giant and retire a Giant. I have bought a Barber, Toomer, and went retro with my favorite Simms jersey. My next jersey that I will get eventually will be Manning, he will retire a Giant as well as a Strahan.
I really want to get the LT retro jersey which runs over $200.00 though a little pricey for a beer drinking shirt. I always kinda laugh when I see people wearing a jersey from a player no longer with that team that has been traded and playing for someone else, thats a no-no.

Yeah I gave my Tiki jersey to Goodwill, but I still have a Jessie Armstead jersey that occasionally gets worn. Yes he played the last two years of his career with the Skins put in my mind he will always remain a Giant. If this is a real problem for you I would recommend getting a personalized jersey with your name on it. Chances are you will never retire or change teams. :)

Nice collection, disasterskip, I have a Armstead jersey I still wear around too, it was my first Giants jersey and will always be my favorite. But at this point I have a ton, more just because I'm a jersey nut. I have 2 Elis(home and away), 2 Shockey (home and a pro bowl jersey), an away Tiki(I'll keep it anyway), a home Strahan, a home Osi, and a home Burress jersey, so I'll just keep adding to it.

I have an LT throwback.. the old blue #56. If I had to get a current player I'd probably go with Tuck. Purchasing a jersey is a risky prop, good topic. I always try and look at their deal and of course how much I like them. I actually have a replica Strahan from the last away jersey I forgot about..

For the benefit of the team, I have not gotten a jersey in 10 years, each time I do, the player either gets hurt and is never the same, or just looses it and is cut within a year

I would keep the Shockey jersey. You are a fan of the Giants, you are a fan of Jeremy Shockey. It makes sense to me.
Then again, I don't wear jerseys. It's kind of like wearing an FDNY hat, when you don't even know anyone in the FDNY. My gameday attire is a dark red and blue striped sweater. I only got it this past Christmas, but hell, they won every game since.
My 2-year-old always wears her Shockey jersey, and she'll wear until it doesn't fit anymore.

I wore my Toomer jersey everygame for 3 years straight, right through Superbowl 42. I have Manning and Taylor jerseys, my wife has Shockey, my kids have Burress, Barber. I'd say keep everything you've got, we don't wear Barber any more though, he went to the Giants glass case.

I've got the road Shockey the first year the Giants changed up the helmets and went to the pewter pants, with the red and blue trim. I also have the current home Strahan jersey and my best one is the replica road jersey with the Super Bowl 42 emblem of Plaxico Burress. I got it in the day before and wore it during the game, only to have my man catch the winning touchdown. Don't know if that's irony or not. If Shockey goes, so does the jersey and I will replace Strahan with a current player, but I will frame the Strahan jersey and hang it in my rec room. I believe in updating or replacing if you have the budget, but these are not cheap items.
