Derrek Lee with another HR, Reed Johnson with his first, Carlos Marmol being his usual self as the best set-up man in the game, and just like that the Cubs are 1st in the NL Central again.

And now we have a 4 game stint with the worst team in the NL.

The haters are silenced.

i would not call them the worst team in the nl. yes, the worst record but they're just getting off to a bad start; kinda like us last season.
all i'm saying is that the Padres are a much better team than their record shows.
and plus, we have to face peavy one of those games.

Strange turn of events. We struggle against the Reds, but put it together against the Diamondbacks.

We start winning a few more of the "supposed-to-win" games and we'll be sitting pretty. Particularly after you win a game like this without starting your ace.

Could this be the year the Cubbies win the World Series? I hope so! As for the Padres, they have started out very slow. There offense was expeted to be a little lacking but there pitching strength hasn't got it going yet. It should be an entertaining series and may the best team from Chicago win lol.
