People, The lack of gratitude you guys have shown towards thanking our troops is deplorable. I know this is a sports board, but is 20 threads "they cheated/didn't" more important than thanking the men and women who protect you every day?
Look, I've said it before, it isn't about me, don't rate my posts, or if I'm on your favs, remove me if that's what it will take to get you to thank our troops. Some of you have posted and I thank you, but what about those that have just read and moved on? Do you think you would have the luxury of debating crap here if it wasn't for these men and women?
Let's pull together as the CBS sportsline community and show any military people that we support them so we can have the luxury of debating useless crap like "should I drink and drive or not".

And to all you Admins out there, why don't you tack the support the troops thread to the top? Show the troops that CBS supports the troops and is willing to help show that. Yeah, I know it is NOT a sports thread, but some things trancend normal SOP. Or at least have the guts to tell me why you can't.

Thank you to all troops for all of their sacrifice and bravery on our behalf. The fallen! The one's in battle!! The ones going to battle!!! The ones supporting!!!! The ones the have been injured!!!!! All that are civilian again!!!!!!

No, BMK, I'm just trying to show our troops we appreciate them and want to get as many people to show their support as possible. Who knows, if someone far from home has the chance to see this, maybe it will make their day.

i say suport troops but i dont know how this is suport our troops cause they is fighting in iraq and maybe dont have time to read cbs thread about them and maybe they dont care cause they was on here to talk about sports but instead have to answer thread about the war or god or whatever maybe they is true but maybe they is fighting so they dont post and they is got guns and tanks and helicopters and planes and realy big boms so they can kil iraqees and teroris and they no post on cbs so i say to suport troops but how does this help

By forcing us to do something we may or may not want to do, is facism. Isn't that what the troops are fighting against? Are you for facism? You do not support the troops.

I dont support the war and i dont think that we should still be there. I have three friends there and i hope that they are ok and come home safe but i cant honestly say that i support the troops.
How can i support the troops in a war that i dont support?

I'm sure your 3 friends would be thrilled to hear you don't support them or their brothers in arms. It looks like those three need a new friend, of course they've probable already met people they can count on in the service. People who don't hinge their support on political ideology.
Haven't you ever heard the expression "hate the sin, love the sinner"? It's not a perfect analogy since the war is not a sin, and it's origins are not of our troops making, but it is what the servicemen have been asked to fight for all of us. And even if in your twisted left wing looneyland the war is a sin to you, you can still support the people who are getting injured and dying over there, just so you can sit on your butt and type on a message board.
How can you support the troops if you don't support the war? Suck it up and act like a man and realize that the troops didn't get together and decide to start the war, they are just doing their job, and fighting for our country.
