I voted no. The Yanks will be better off going to the farm. Rasner performed well. I'm not keen on Igawa, but Kennedy has a solid start in Triple A, and Chamberlain is a better option, especially if Farnsworth has really turned a corner. Remember they've got guys down on the farm like Chase Wright too.
and i do not forget how much smack he talked about the Yankees when he left
No thank you

Why would the Yanks need an out of shape, overweight, struggling pitcher to come in. Better to bring up a minor leaguer than to have someone that disrespects the pinstripes.
In all honesty, I voted yes. I still Think David has it in him. His control has always been above average (which is more to say than Igawa) And he could bring back the old mentality of what we had 10 years ago.
Greetings Yankees Fans! First time on this site, long time Yankee fan.
To tell the truth at first I thought bringing back Boomer was a good idea, especially with Igawa pitching tonight. He scares me every time I see him pitch. But after I had a little time to think about it NO WAY!!!
Wells had a few good years with the yankees, including winning world series games and a perfect game, that is ancient history though. Boomer is now 45 years old and his best days are way behind him.
What the yankees need to do is concentrate on developing our younger players so we can stay competitive for years to come. How many times have we gotten screwed going after players way past their prime.
Be patient with Kennedy, he has got the talent to be successful in the majors.
I can't wait for the weather and the Yankees to start heating up!
So David Wells says he is working out and thinks he can help...Whoopity Doo! For David Wells working out probably means walking into the kitchen to get his beer, chips, and hoagie instead of having his wife bring it to him.
The Yankees have plenty of options in the farm, and just need to ride this year out with the young pitching. Young pitching breeds inconsistancy, but allowing young pitchers to make adjustments and learn from past starts is how they develop into quality starters.
Wells' career is done! He pitched in 2 pitcher parks last year and racked up a 5.43 ERA! Batters hit .316 against him, and he only reached the 7th inning three times last season out of 29 starts. How is that any better than what Hughes or Kennedy did? I would rather see our young guys take their bumps than an old guy get overpaid to get beat up.
