I guarantee Job makes it to the AS game this year.

Careful with those guarantees.  We are talking about a guy who has thrown 15 innings (rounding UP) this year.  He has 1 win and zero saves.  Is that the resume of an All-Star??  I think there might be a few guys ahead of him....

unproven as in he hasnt done ANYTHING yet.  papelbon has a WS, been to the AS game, and is unaffected by flies.I'm thinking 24 innings-34Ks-.ERA of .038 with 1 ER proves he can throw. Hey, you can not blame him for the flies. They were the same as everybody else outside of Boston-Joba fans, They were groupies and werte all over him-nobody else.

AS far as Papelbon goes, his 1st season (the season I stated) was 2005. If he was at the 2005 A-S game he bought a ticket. If he had a 2005 WS ring he bought it at the jewelers and it is sporting the wrong colored socks. His rookie season of 2006 was a short one.

I guarantee Job makes it to the AS game this yearNot if he continues the shaking off and getting into himself into trouble. A set up guy with an ERA of 3.14 has no business at an All Star game. HE has the talent but he needs to remove his head from his rectum and do what he does best. SHUT THEM DOWN AND TURN IT OVER TO MO.Oh yeah, and have the BUZZ about him be about what he does with the pitches and not what he does after a meaningless 8th inning K.

Papelbon had 34 innings

in his 1st season

and you guys had him winning the CY the next season.

Now quit BUGGING ME.

Mpl29, You are right that night when he blew the game he was pitching like he was a starter. Even Michael Kay said it during the broadcast that it look hes pitching like he was starting so good point there buddy.

Rock_Strongo, I didnt hit myself with a brick and Im not apologizing cause tennis is good obviously its not better than the main 3 sports but I rather watch it more than NHL,Nascar, or Golf. Rock heres what you do find a replay of Roddick 3rd round match at the Aussie Open, Find a replay of Federer 3rd round match at the aussie open, and Watch a replay of fed vs Nadal at Wimbeldon last year then come talk to me about tennis. I rather watch tennis over boring golf anyday of the week.

Oh yea when Joba make the all star game I would like for you to get me a SUV thx man I appreciate it.

If it is excellent condition. A LOT OF MONEY   ..probably worth more than it was when it was new.

SIde bar.

I remember pricing out a new Dodge Challenger in '68. 440, 2 quads, shaker hood and a converible. It was all of $4500. Earlier this year I saw 1 go for over $100K at auction...

Dad was not happy with my selections that year... 1st was a used '66 GTO 398 with 3 dueces, 2nd was a '67 Jag XKE conv. Both worth a bundle right now.

Thanks Dad... ended up with a '68 Dodge Dart GT. But, he probably saved me from killing myself in 1 of them...

I just don't get what some of these cars are bringing these days.

Just prooff that even Kay can get one right now and then. He is lucky to be surrounded with the people has has in the booth.
