You're forgetting how hard it is for a DT to get a sack. Also, their numbers were down due to everybody double teaming them. That doesn't mean the middle push sucked. It just means they got doubled a lot. Rob Meier got 4 sacks because he doesn't draw attention like Marcus Stroud and John Henderson. They DID get double teamed which left the ends one on one and they still sucked.
The stadium, wow I remember playing pop warner against Murry Hill way back in the Eighties. I remember those old aluminium bleachers being torn out as well.
As far as the Oilers and Titans would you mind telling me where you got your info from so i can go and read it and refresh my memory some more. It's been great walking down memory lane.
I just googled the Houston Oilers and the last year that they played in Houston was 1996 and Eddie George won Rookie of the year in 1996 as well. That was also Steve McNairs first year playing as the starting Quarterback. The Oilers went eight and eight that year.
I don't know if I would say it's a correction. I couldn't find any liturature on when the team was awarded to Tennessee just the last game that was played in Houston.
The Oilers played in an empty stadium in 1996 from what I've read. All of 1996 not just a game but the whole year all the home games had empty seats.
