This article doesn't really give enough information to declare him guilty and warrent a lynching. Most of this is likely the writers version of what happened. In other words he spiced it up to get more reaction. This is getting rediculous though, it seems like every day there is a new crime or stupid mistake committed by an NFL athlete.

If you want to play an awesome create-a-player free football game this game is the game for you: http://goallineblitz.com/game/signup.pl?ref=9134086.

It may or may not be blown out of proportion by the reporter/media, but how can a reporter make up a story where some places a plastic bag around a 2 year old's head and neck?  I have a 2 year old, so this article really disturbs me.

According to comments by Scott he said the bag was on the child's head as a game to see if he could get himself out. So this means he has said that he did it. Sounds guilty enough to me.

This story is absolutely disgusting.  I have small children of my own, and I can't even begin to imagine not only putting a bag over their head, but holding the bag tight enough to leave red marks.  I mean if you were playing a game, which is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of, you wouldn't be holding the bag so the child couldn't take it off.  I mean what was the next test going to be, maybe a loaded gun to his head, and see if he would pull the trigger?  He better go to jail for this, anyone who can deliberately hurt children needs to be put away and forgot about.

Guilt or innocent is for the legal system; as is his punishment if guilty.  However,  a plastic bag over a 2 year olds head is wrong in every way conceivable.   And social services doesn't need more than the police report to take away this idiots rights as a father.  Which is the bare minimum of what should happen in this situation.   As a father or 7,6, and 2 year olds I can't even imagine this horrendous conduct and a 2 year old certainly can't conceive of it as a challenge to develop toughness.   Utterly appalling.

If he did these things - he deserves a special place in Hell.

But, let's all remember these are allegations made by his ex.  And we all know that sometimes ex's will say things to try to sway custody towards themselves, etc.  Anyone who has ever gone through a divorce can testify to that.
