Of course they can be beat. I'm a huge Laker fan but a realistic fan not a homer. Any current playoff team can be beat if they don't bring their A game.

I really think that the Jazz can beat them and most likely will.  The reason why I say this is that for the last 15 games the Jazz have not been playing well at all.  They can't hit the broad side of a barn, however they are keeping every game close.  Game 1 against the Lakers the jazz looked tired in the 1 st half and Kobe went to town getting I don’t know how many 3 point plays.  Then in the 2 nd half you saw a much more focused Jazz team that did not let Kobe get off the shot when he was fouled.  As well in the 4th quarter they shot like 4 of 25 and no one can tell me that it was because of the Lakers defense.  The Jazz just plain missed open looks. You can’t tell me that when the Jazz were down by 5 (for mostly the entire 4 th quarter) if they would have hit 45% of those shots that the ending of the game very well could have been different.  In the next game Kobe will not get that many open looks and you will see more “HARD” fouls on Kobe to ensure that he does not get the “And 1”.  The Jazz will play out of their current funk they are in and if the Lakers think that they will just walk all over the Jazz they loose one at home. Both teams will adjust for next game, but don't think that Kobe will be getting to the line as much as he did in the first game, as well don't expect sloppy play from the jazz either.  This is going to be a very hard fought series.  Who ever wins will win 7. Indiana Pacers fan

The Lakers didn't just beat the Nuggets. The Lakers swept the Nuggets. They were the only team that took care of business like that in the first round. As far as the Boring Team, they will not make it to the Finals this year. They have never made back to back Finals appearences. They have never defended their title successfully. The Boring Team has looked pretty old at times while the rest of the West definitely gained ground this year. There will be no repeat for the San Antonio Spurs.

Hopefully nobody does, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Hornets or Spurs beat them. Possibly the Celtics, but I don't see the Piston beating thme

Tribe last year the supporting cast was not good, in fact the last 3 years. Without Pau this year the Lakers were doing very well because the supporting cast improved. So with the vastly improved supporting cast and Pau, the lakers are look really good. Is that so hard to comprehend?

On ANY given day ANY given team can beat any other team.

remember how last year the dallas Mavericks were "unbeatable" they got DESTROYED by the golden state Warriors. the Lakers are an amazing team, but any team can beat another team, doesnt mean it will happen though.

OK I'm not a Lakers fan and not sure how much you know about the Cavs.

Question: Was the Lakers supporting cast worse than the Cavs the last 3 years?
