I have four closers in a 5x5 league. Remarkably, I'm not first place, as someone else has four and has gotten luck with getting tons of early saves. However, I am struggling in wins, and I have the opportunity to trade for an Angels starter. The guy is interested in Boof Bonser, and he needs saves. Bonser may not win much because of the Twins, whereas the Angels are a better team and will win more. I'm not a fan of Brian Wilson as a closer, but I do like Matt Capps. As for the Angels starters, Jered Weaver is a better strikeout pitcher, but Joe Saunders has been very impressive early on.

What do you guys think? Bonser and Wilson for Weaver, or Bonser and Capps for Saunders? I think I have to lean toward Bonser/Wilson for Weaver, because it's my least favorite closer and Weaver will get more strikeouts. However, with the weight loss of Bonser, he could have a breakout year, and I'm a little reluctant to lose him.

I'd like to get a few more votes on this. And I'll give 5's for anyone who explains their vote!

I am not a fan of any of those starters. I think Weaver has the most potential, both with his talent and the team around him. Saunders is all smoke and mirrors and I don't foresee his success lasting past the all-star break.

In 2007 Saunders was 3-0 with a 2.97 ERA in 5 pre-all-star game starts.  After the break, he was 5-5 with a 5.03 ERA in 13 starts.  In 2006 he got called up in July and went 7-3  but with a 4.71 ERA.  The numbers don't support him being as good as he has been so far this year.  Almost no K's and he is a finesse pitcher who undoubtedly will get hit.

Bonser's numbers are in line with all of his previous years.  Decent K's but not a top strikeout guy.  High ERA and with the Twins this year, his wins will be down too.

Weaver is the only one with a track record of decent K's, wins and while not great, a better ERA.  And he will get his 13-17 wins with the Angels.  If you are going to do anything with regards to this group, go get Weaver.  But IMHO, you might want to look for someone else who needs saves to trade with that might have someone who has somewhat struggled so far but should be even better than Weaver (buy low candidate).
