The job Bennett has done at Washington State is one of the truly amazing stories in recent college basketball history. Washington State fans should count their lucky stars for each year this guy remains in Pullman.

Yes, congratulations are due to Washington State and its fans for being able to hold on to a truly desired coach.  He could've made twice that at bigger programs after last season, but he decided to hang around and do what he does best.  Best of luck to the Huskies!

O like UNC and I could not stand all the talk about WSU and there great D. That being said, an excellent signing for a program that seems to be here to stay for awhile and scare the heck out of other teams fans like I was. WSU  is going to be good for awhile with Bennett running the show. Well done WSU.

There is no doubt in my mind that Tony is a great coach. However, I'm unsure of his skill as a recruiter. I know he has landed some solid kids, but can he land the big names in state? That has yet to be seen.

Someone needs to learn some geography... and that there are schools in Washington other than the huskies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  With that being said, I think that schools need to watch out for Wazzu next year.  While we lost our core players, so have many other PAC 10 schools.  It should be a fun year in 2009

Badnick...you have lived up to your moniker. A couple other fans have already corrected you, but just to reiterate, you have just made a mistake akin to calling UNC the Blue Devils. Thanks for trying, but you're not going to score many good ratings with mistakes like that.

As far as in-state recruiting goes it's really not overly important. Bennett has given Wazzu the means to recruit talent nationally for the first time in years. The Fuskies are still going to get the majority of in-staters because they're in Seattle as opposed to Pullman, but judging by their 2009 prospects the Cougs are gonna be fine.

Actually Tony did just sign one of the top in state prospects for next year, Washington State is built around defense but Tony has shown he is not afraid to open up the offense when the time is right..and Tony is the recruiter he recruited every member of the team that took them to the dance the last two years, when you are a Washington State fan just as in football you get use not getting the big names but solid players who know how to play and play well in a team concept..and as lousy a game WSU had against UNC they still shut down that high powered offense they just couldnt score themselves
