I have a plan to buy the team, I need your help

Okay after this weekend's draft and the horrible job Danny boy did drafting, I just take any more of him being the owner of my beloved Redskins. I've watched him turn a once great franchise into the laughing stock of the league, with all of his horrible personel moves. He even found a way to make a Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs look like an idiot and I just can't take it anymore. The only way to improve the team is for me to purchase it from Danny Boy no matter the cost.

The only problem with this plan is I'm not a billionaire and I'm going probably need at least 1.5 Billion dollars to buy the team. Right now I have about 10,000 so I'm on my way but I need your help in raising the rest of the money. I promise to pay it back as soon as I start getting some NFL checks.

I figure at least 92,000 fans come out to the game every Sunday and there have to be about 5 to 10 million more Redskins fans throughout this country. If we all put our money together I'm sure we can come up with the money to buy the team from that egomaniac.

As far as running the team, I'll make all the decisions but since you helped pay for the team, I'll let you give me suggestions on the message board that I may or may not use to improve the team.

Come on people what do you say, I know I can do a better job than Danny, I just need help raising this money. Who's with me?

I promise no more Adam Archuleta, Brandon Lloyd. Jeff George, Bruce Smith, Mark Carrier, Deion Sanders. I will build this team the right way. You have my word.

Now open up those wallets and pocketbooks and let's get our team back.

Come on you are better than that - your complaint was valid five years ago.

Daniel Snyder is a good owner - just not the smartest when he tries to do everything:

First, Snyder absolutely loves the Skins and he spends a ton of his money to make us better.  We almost had some board of directors out of NY buy the Skins.  They just care about the balance sheet and they would not put the kind of money up that Dan does.  Look what happened to the braves when TimeWarner took control instead Ted Turner.  They are competitive but they don't spend on their team like they used to.  Dan has learned his lesson and has done nothing but give Joe Gibbs 110% support and he let him run the show for FOUR YEARS.  Yes, it took Gibbs some time to repair things but we were on the right track.  Daniel Snyder is no dummy - If he was he would not be in a position to own the Redskins and he would not be a BILLIONAIRE. 

Now we have a good young coach who will help our QB develop and Snyder didn't go out and mortgage the future.  We drafted 10 pretty good players and it was clear Vinny & Zorn were making the selections.  We needed help on offense.  Up until that little run that put us in the playoffs - we had so many 3 and outs that our defense was tired by the fourth quarter.  And our punter always found ways to make it hard on our Defense at the worst times.  We got the best punter - we got HIGH QUALITY big, fast and accomplished widereceivers for depth and redzone help... our draft was prety solid.  

And Dan recently has become a pretty good owner... so get off his back.  And it galls me when I hear Joe Gibbs retired for family reasons and then I see him every weekend working NASCAR.  Great coach and he just wanted to leave on a good note.     

Nobody said he was a dummy, when it comes to making money he's the best in the league, but when it comes to making quality football decisions, the man is a moron.

He does spend a ton of money, but he doesn't make the team any better. There is a reason the team has had 3 winning seasons and 5 different head coaches since Danny brought the team, it's because he refuses to hire a GM and continues to pick the wrong players. He needs to learn that spending money isn't the key and stop trying to do things himself. If he does like all the smart owners in this league and get a football person to handle the football stuff and let him handle the money making stuff the team would be better off, until he learns that the Skins will continue to suck.

Joe Gibbs is a full of crap, he just got tired of embarrassing himself because the game had passed him by, so he used his family as an excuse to leave. Good riddance if you ask me.

All your gripes about Daniel Snyder are from 5+ years ago.  He has been a great owner and we are on the right track.  His first few years he did keep things interesting and gave us hope.  Most "experts" were excited about the prospects of Spurrier being a head coach. Not all players pan-out.    

And the other post is exactly correct - you forget to mention ALL the good players he HAS brought in. 

We just need a NEW stadium... Traffic is horrible and there is NO character like when RFK was rockin'.  We need a stadium back in Washington... accessible to mass transit.

We can name it the $nyder $tadium and tick-off all the negative Snyder detractors.
