All you need is a good hitting pitcher.  Dbacks are very lucky to have a 'player' like Owings.  I think he will come back to earth a little bit as a pitcher.  But the guy can hit!

Cooper changed pitchers just for him, and Owings still hits a 2-run HR (pinch-hit).  Wow!

Way to go Dbacks.  Now, its on against the Mets for the weekend.

Cooper didn't stick with Wright which was a stupid mistake and he payed. Dave Borkowski needed to go with the rest of the bullpen from 05' Dave left one right down main street and like any big league hitter would, he hammered it.

Cooper is embarrassing himself here in the early going.  I know it's his first gig as Manager, but jeez...how many times is he going to mismanage the pitching staff?

Borkowski seems to do well without pressure, but when the game is in the balance he folds like a cheap suit.  He shouldn't even be an option in a close game, much less replace arguably your most effective reliever w/ the tying run at the plate late in the game.

Cooper loves to bench position players, and yet he keeps trotting Borkowski out in critical situations.  Cooper gets a D+ for his first month as Manager.
