Pick a "fact," I'll gladly go look it up

OK try this one on for size. You stated that nothing has been proved thus far. Aubrey McClendon stated that they never intended to keep the team in Seattle. Several emails back this up. How much more proof do you need?

I have to say, though, you are the most polite poster I've seen to date from OKC. I truly appreciate that.

Yeah, Broncos is the nicest, most polite OKC fan I've seen yet, by miles.  But, his argument has flaws in terms of Bennett's intentions.  At least it's acknowledged as a great area.  Just examine the content of those emails in April, 2007, during which time, Bennett was supposed to be looking for a suitable Seattle arena situation........

..........Tom Ward e-mailed Bennett asking if there was "any way to move here for next season or are we doomed to have another lame-duck season in Seattle?"  Bennett's reply: "I am a man possessed!  Will do everything we can. Thanks for hanging with me boys, the game is getting started!"  Ward: "That's the spirit!! I am willing to help any way I can to watch ball here (in Oklahoma City) next year."  Aubrey McClendon: "Me too, thanks Clay!"

Bennett has even said those emails were mis-represented and he was "possessed" to keep the team in Seattle.  Just look at the content of those emails and if that sounds like a guy intent on keeping the team in Seattle or was he really "possessed" to get it moved.  He's pretty much a two-bit lying creep.

Shadow, thanks again!

You got me on McClendon. I think Aubrey's Intentions are quite clear beyond any reasonable doubt. He came out and said it. However, it still hasn't been proven that it was the entire group's intention to do so, even with the e-mails.

I don't need the proof, the judge does. I anxiously await this trial coming up just to see how it turns out, actually.

I appreciate the compliments. This is a tough deal on both cities and their fans right now and it's going to be hard to reach a solution that pleases the fans (not that its hard to come up with one).  Someone is going to lose and it sucks. Ce la vie.

Hawk, Thanks alot!

I was more focused on the timeline last week when I was doing this and since I'm getting ready for finals over the next week, I won't be able to analyze this as much as I have been for the next week and a half. I'm sure I'll be back at it when they are over.

Thanks for the compliments and hope we all end up at peace with whatever happens (eventually).

UCO----did the Core to Shore thing pass for the downtown area?  Being in Tulsa, we don't get as much hype when it comes to whats going on structually down there.

why does this subject keep getting brought up? it doesn't matter what comes out in the media about anything.... the team formerly known as the sonics is coming to okc, it's just a matter of when... if seattle wins in court, the only thing that will change is they won't be here this time next year.

the argument is always going to be the same... so why keep re-hashing it? drop it, it's dumb...

if everyone in seattle was as die-hard as the people who post on here than maybe the team wouldn't be leaving because of money. it sucks, yeah, but oh well the dogs already dead
